I had no idea my quote pyramids were doing that  looks no different for myself.

Anyhow, put another couple of hours (nearly) into Digimon today and not really feeling it sadly. Thought I’d quite enjoy it quite a lot more than I am currently (so far it’s alright?), digi-volved some of my Digimon so now I have a winged unicorn where I had a rabbit esque Digimon but with huge ears :slol: Evolution makes a lot more sense in Pokémon  I don’t see how evolving them basically makes them pretty awful to use in battle again for little reason really?

I’m going to persevere with it for now but it’s probably for the best I bought it on sale for £20 rather than full price as it wouldn’t surprise me if I don’t get anywhere near the end of it.

I'm not surprised. My main issue with the game was that the convoluted evolution chains made it really hard to get attached to individual Digimon. Plot dumps on Pokémon's though.

Yeah, Pokémon are really easy to get attached to in comparison (well, as much as you can a virtual creature you use to fight ), the evolutions mainly make sense. I think the plot is promising so far, to the point I’m tempted just to use the knight Digimon (as they’re fully evolved already?) and hope I can get through the story with those. Can you get the same knight digimon in Hackers Memory? So I could employ similar tactics?

that is rather reflective of digimon rather "caution to the wind" attitude towards evolution. though the rabbit i believe youre referring to usually become are large rabbit with gattling guns for hands

Personally I preferred hackers memory to cyber sleuth, I found the pacing more enjoyable, the characters and quests were more fun too, and I love the sistermon! I can't remember what digimon I had in the end but I found myself loving the good kelpymon and using him quite a lot. He's such a cute pink rabbit!

Has anyone else been playing There Is No Game? I'm finding it pretty funny myself.

Yes! Got it today, played the first segment with my partner and now I'm not allowed to play it on my own so she can see what happens. (She's much more of a point-and-click enthusiast than me, being brought up on the likes of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion, and having encouraged me into Sam & Max - another ace Switch PnC for anyone searching for them. Don't settle for Thimbleweed Park.) We're partway through the Sherlock Holmes segment, and it's good fun - but it does feel like it would play better with a touch screen.

SIDE NOTE: Partner has asked for it to be on record that she recommended TING about a month ago, when it came up on her Steam recommendations (before those devolved into anime porn), and I've only just bought it.

It does feel good on the switch screen, I'm quite far into it and I've really been enjoying how crazy parts of it are! The part I'm on is particularly nuts. I won't say much though as i don't want to spoil anything, but I've found the entiregame so farto be brilliant and hilarious. All I'll say is, your conscience tells me you have a cat

I think I missed that one on that screen! (Which was a really good screen, comfortably the best bit of the game so far.) Solved it too quickly, clearly. It's all my partner's doing, she solves them too fast. :dread:

Well all the options were just silhouettes so I had no idea what I’d end up with, should I have gone for the rabbit with gattling gun for hands instead? Sounds bonkers reading it back  Hopefully I’ll get a bit more time into it over the next couple of days but despite thinking I’d love it (as reviews I’d read seemed to imply it was similar to Pokémon but with a much better plot) I’m just feeling impartial to it at the moment.

i think there was a certain degree of it relying on you knowing who they were, although i got them mixed up a few times as well. but remember you can go backwards and evolve them down the way and then evolve them into a preferred form

Does de-evolving them reset them to level 1 though? If so it feels like its just adding unnecessary grind as they already revert to a slightly stronger level 1 mon when you evolve them.

it does. but considering the levels rookies evolve at the grind isnt so bad its only really a problem for the highest level. and remember de-evolving them is the best way to raise the abi stat which you will need to get the highest levels

I had to get one mon to ABI 120 and it took forever to do. I was so happy when I finally managed it, but it was one hell of a grind!
