I still hold out hope for something Gamecube related coming to Switch. There's so many greats just left behind. Obviously you can't remaster them all, but they honestly don't need it. Just stick 'em on a GCN Switch Online service.

Along with Mario Sunshine, which is why 3D All-Stars had limited release, it all makes sense now.

Has a full Nintendo Direct ever been leaked? I remember that January 2017 showcase got leaked before it went live but I don’t remember an actual Direct

It wasn't the full showcase but just stuff they had playable at physical events being set up around the world to coincide with the presentation. Someone employed to set up it up posted on 4ch*n all the games they saw advertised in the setup. Which some "insiders" amusingly discounted as not being real, and subsequently deleted all posts after they were proven wrong :slol:

This is a real Direct leak that happened in 2016:

Looks so fake but was actually real :slol:

I wonder how many people actually get to see a Direct line up before it airs? I assume reporters will get the details in order to have articles ready to go as it airs, higher ups at Nintendo’s regional companies must see it before hand as well.

I reckon the number of people who know the full line up is so small, if it ever fully leaked they could probably work out it was.

Reporters probably get early access on the day, but sometimes they hold things back from them, eg BOTW2 and Splatoon 3 reveals weren't shown in advance to anyone.

True, they do tend to keep surprises back.

I remember the whole 2017 lead up to launch and that Laura Kate Dale posting all her nonsense  then we had Eurogamer and the ‘Pokemon Stars’ leak and that GameCube games were going to be on Switch

As much as Rockstar like to do their own thing, I could definitely see them announcing the Trilogy remasters in an event for the company that has barely seen any GTA releases. Who knows? If Switch sales do well, they might give us another exclusive GTA. I'd definitely be interested in a Fossil Fighters collection, as well. I'd played the first one and had bought the 3DS game a year ago but never played it much 'cus I couldn't get used to holding the 3DS.

I just absolutely cannot see The Sims 4 coming to the Switch until all the content has been released for it. Though, of course, we won't get a complete collection that includes all the content.

They've made GTA5 announcements in Playstation showcases haven't they?

For the rereleases of it, yes. Both for PS4 and PS5 ones. So Trilogy at a Nintendo event - the brand which has never seen any of them, feels like the right place for this announcement to be made. But it could be a significant enough release for Rockstar to just announce it on their own terms.

Nintendo have finally signed off on my refund for Art of Rally. That's almost a month it's taken. :fp:

I'm pretty surprised that they did refund, Poser! IIRC you claimed the refund 'cos you didn't like the game? (Soz in advance if I have got this wrong!).

It was due to false advertising, they had the game on the eshop using screens from the PC/Xbox version, the Switch version is a massive downgrade.
