2017 - [6] - Breath of the Wild, FIFA 18, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Poi: Explorer Edition, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

2018 - [2] - Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad

2019 - [4] - New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Crash Team Racing, Link's Awakening, Luigi's Mansion 3

2020 - [6] - Bug Fables, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Hades, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Pikmin 3

2021 - [2] - New Pokémon Snap, Metroid Dread [Monster Hunter Rise and Skyward Sword still to buy]

2018 and 2019 were really lean for me and is where the majority of my insane FIFA playtime comes from.

2022 is looking good; I've got 4 perhaps 5 definite purchases in mind already (Advance Wars, Disco Elysium, Mario + Rabbids, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, BOTW2)

"2, 4, 6..."

Drum, man, here we go!

Will try and do my year-by-year of Switch games later :toot: .

Yeah we miss out on good deals over here, usually they have buy 2 get 1 free offers on games, surprised no store as tried a deal like that over here.

Go with 5 purchases and you'll have your first odd numbered year! :toot:

Here's my breakdown by year:
2021 - [4] Metroid Dread, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Football Manager Touch 2021

2020 - [5] Xenoblade Chronicles DE, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Streets of Rage 4, Just Dance 2021, Sonic 2

2019 - [9] Pokémon Sword, Tetris 99, Doom II, Doom 1993, Final Fantasy VII, Super Mario Maker 2, Ring Fit Adventure, Final Fantasy XII, Luigi's Mansion 3

2018 - [10] Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu, Sonic 1, Alwa's Awakening, Dead Cells, Mario Tennis Aces, Minecraft, Steamworld Dig, Celeste, Dark Souls Remastered, Hollow Knight

2017 - [10] Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids, Sonic Mania, Stardew Valley, Rocket League, Axiom Verge, Blossom Tales

2021 is looking light but there's a few releases still on my "to buy" list which will bolster it. 2022 shows promise, but I'm not that confident we'll see another top year like 2017 again though

2022 could match 2017, it’s probably relatively unlikely though. We already have a brand new Pokémon game, Mario & Rabbids sequel, potentially the BoTW sequel, that alone makes it a very solid year in my opinion. We then have a brand new Kirby and an Advance Wars port, Splatoon 3. Then they could also announce a new 3D Mario game, or a lot of people here seem to want a new 3D Donkey Kong (either would be good!), the never ending Metroid Prime remake rumours are now pointing to a MP remake for next year. Knowing Nintendo they have some stuff yet to be announced as well.

As I said it’s unlikely to have the same impact overall as the Switch’s launch year, but it could be a very good year for the Swtich.

Has anyone played Airborne Kingdom?

Wasn't expecting a city building sim when I decided to give the launch trailer a watch, but it looks fun.

The combination of what Nintendo has confirmed and what is rumoured is absurd:

3D Kirby
Pokemon Arceus
BOTW2
Mario x Rabbids 2
Splatoon 3
Advance Wars remake
Bayo 3
3D Mario
Metroid Prime Remaster
New Donkey Kong
Xenoblade Chronicles 3

If that is what happens, it will be Nintendo's greatest year ever :slol:

2022 is defo shaping up to be a massive year, I still think 3D Mario and Donkey Kong will be the same project featuring both characters to tie into the movie. I also still see BOTW 2 launching March 2023, if you take these games though and try to fill them into the calendar

Pokemon Arceus - January 2022
Advance Wars remake - April 2022
3D Kirby - May 2022
Splatoon 3 - June 2022
Mario x Rabbids 2 - July 2022
Bayo 3 - September 2022
3D Mario/DK - October 2022
Metroid Prime Remaster - November 2022 (20 year anniversary month)
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - December 2022
BOTW2 - March 2023

Yeah that actually looks quite plausible.

Pokemon Arceus - January 2022 - 7
Advance Wars remake - April 2022 - 5
3D Kirby - May 2022 - 8
Splatoon 3 - June 2022 - 9
Mario x Rabbids 2 - July 2022 - 7
Bayo 3 - September 2022 - 6

My purse is going to be empty in 2022 by the looks of it!

Is mario kart 8 on the switch compatible with the wii u version? I'd love to play some of you guys online but I only have the one on wii u.

Hmmm, if I had to list mine out in order of excitement of the release

BOTW2
Metroid Prime Remaster
Splatoon 3
3D Mario/DK
Mario x Rabbids 2
3D Kirby
Advance Wars remake
Bayo 3
Pokemon Arceus
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (I still have not put any real time into DE or 2 yet so that's why this is at the bottom)
