Both of the above (EDIT: on the previous page) are valid.

I'm not sure I've ever played a game with such an extreme range in quality with the character designs really.

It's not like they didn't know how to handle female characters either. Look at Morag

Nia. :datass:

Prior to the vagina-cutaway outfit from her transformation, anyway. All that is good must be spoiled...

Poppi too went through a good design to awful design transformation.

Probably not a good thing that the least sexualised female in the game was described as being dressed as a guy

I never bothered with Poppi. There are probably good reasons why I chose this option!

They had a large number of character designers for the blades on XC2 which is why there is such a diverse range on display. Some of the character designs are actually fantastic.

It's still a better game than 1 in my opinion. The first game also suffers from some awful design and pointless titillation bollocks as well - most of the outfit options for the female characters are ridiculous

I dont see her as being dressed as a guy but as being dressed as a strong, military leader.

BLUSHY-CRUSHY

You could at least change the outfits on the girls in 1, and Dunban was the one who got bonuses for being unclothed.

But yes. My memory of 1 is tainted by bobbins fetch quests involving those infuriating crystals, and Agniratha being a big empty nonsense. Plus: 2 has chests! (Not that kind. (Well, also that kind.)) There are few better feelings in an RPG than finding and opening a strongbox with something cool inside.

I never thought she was dressed as a guy either. For some reason there’s a heart to heart in game claiming she did

There's a "heart to heart" where Tora thinks Morag is a man and Zeke says something along the lines of "he probably got confused because she wears men's clothes"

More than anything this just reinforced the point that both Zeke and Tora are idiots than saying anything about Morag IMO.

My issue with Morag was that I thought her voice acting was quite dull - not a problem Nia had!

It's a good game and well worth a play, but it does have some tiresome sections and for me falls short of 2 in a few key areas

I think it suited the character well - she was a military character, as well as being of the royal household so would very much seeing herself as upholding certain standards of conduct and interaction with others.

I dunno, her voice actress seemed a bit subdued. You’d think a military type would bark almost everything out as an order!

Personally I found it refreshing to have a Scottish accent in a game that wasn’t a horrifically exaggerated Glaswegians accent

Yeah the variety of accents was a big plus for the game IMO. Among the main cast you've got a mix of Northern English, Welsh, Scottish, Aussie and US accents which really helps to give it some diversity
