And Snake!

I have quite like it, Snake and noughts and crossing are good for mucking about for couple of minutes and pong is pretty fun in 2 player mode

Yeah it's good for a wee little purchase, I got just the switch alone for Christmas so bought loads of random cheap games, a lot of them are deleted to make space for other games and never played :shifty:

I bought a point and click puzzler called Agent A: A puzzler in disguise. Not overly taxing but good fun for a few hours. Don't think it was more than a few quid.

I really enjoyed that one too, I think it's on sale for 99p at the moment.

Anyone know of anything similar?

Also is there an Advanced War's game on the Switch? Or a decent copy?

Like Drum said, a remake of the first 2 Advance Wars games are coming out in April

Couple of games on Switch currently that scratch that itch are Wargroove

and Tiny Metal

That looks great. As we are on the subject of games like other games. Anything like The PSP classic, Jeanne D'Arc? I supposed it's just a 3D Isometric RPG, so something like that?

Not familiar with Jeanne D'Arc, but if we're talking isometric PSP RPGs, have you tried Disgaea?

Just having a go at the Dragon Quest XI demo - up to the castle sewers. So far I'm really liking it, it makes quite a change from the kind of games I normally play. Quite easy going, more like a book than a game. the turn based combat seems to be the main difference from another JRPG I enjoyed way back, Secret of Mana, which I did complete.

Is this giving me a false impression of what lies ahead, or is it a case of 'if you like it this far, you'll enjoy it'?

I get the impression that it's a long game, so I can see myself dipping in and out over a longer period, and since it's 50% off on the eshop at the moment, I'm seriously considering it.

Anyone have any experience or comments?

Just bought Far: Lone Sails. Been on my wishlist for ages, it's only a few quid in the current sale so can't go too wrong really.

Warioware: Get it Together! is £29.99 at Amazon. A nice price for a recent Nintendo game.

I was looking at my Switch games yesterday and decided to count how many were from each year of its lifespan so far.

2017 - [6] - Breath of the Wild, FIFA 18, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Poi: Explorer Edition, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

2018 - [2] - Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad

2019 - [4] - New Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Crash Team Racing, Link's Awakening, Luigi's Mansion 3

2020 - [6] - Bug Fables, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Hades, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Pikmin 3

2021 - [2] - New Pokémon Snap, Metroid Dread [Monster Hunter Rise and Skyward Sword still to buy]

2018 and 2019 were really lean for me and is where the majority of my insane FIFA playtime comes from.

2022 is looking good; I've got 4 perhaps 5 definite purchases in mind already (Advance Wars, Disco Elysium, Mario + Rabbids, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, BOTW2)
