Someone on ResetEra who ordered from the UK store has had it shipped.

Amazon just shipped mine and it says delivery is tomorrow. Nintendo UK also shipped my carry case an hour ago and it says it will also be delivered tomorrow via DPD. I think you'll be getting it tomorrow.

Still nothing despatched from the Nintendo store,, will be on to them this morning as they took the money almost a week ago now and it’s not even been sent for launch day.

Nintendo store order is currently in Newcastle.... So close.

I'm kinda suspecting that Amazon had no intention of shipping my order for release day; even when I placed my pre-order a month ago it said delivery 14 October but I'd just assumed it'd change closer to release.

They presumably sold out all their initial stock ages ago and my one must be in a second batch arriving next week or something.

Nintendo Store live chat has been taken offline by the looks of it, what a gooseberry fool show.

It's very odd, loads of people on ResetEra ordered with them, some have been sent, (despite it telling us all the 13th was the delivery date), and some have spoken to customer service and been told that nope, the 13th was right.

It seems that customers right around the world have had orders delayed; UK, US and Australia. In some cases folk who pre-ordered when it was first available have had delays; as well as people who pre-ordered more recently.

I'm guessing that, in line with most electronics products, not enough units are available to meet demand. It's frustrating that Nintendo hasn't detailed any challenges with supply, though.

Amazon now have the OLED up for order again, with stock arriving "13th October".

It's now pretty obvious that they took lots of additional launch pre-orders knowing that they'd already sold their initial allocation, with the further stock delivery then scheduled for the 13th.

First world problem, I know, but still super annoying!
