Same will be said when Wii U's and the 3DS shop closes for good, how will you get games new for those systems going forward from that point without being extorted with inflated second hand prices?

I also think it can also help sell a product. I pirated Breath Of The Wild to play on Cemu, instantly fell in love with the game and went out and purchased a copy (Actually bought 2 Switch copies and the Expansion Pass) along with a Switch to play it on seeing as I had skipped the Wii U, which also in turn I ended up buying 2 of those too with all the Zelda titles on that system.

Piracy isn't as black and white as you seem to think Shyguy.

It’s an interesting perspective kj but you do seem to be the outlier here with most of the others complaining about having to buy something again or it not looking pretty enough for them

Or is that just jennual

I think there's actually been a really diverse set of viewpoints raised, you're just choosing to ignore and strawman them.

I'm not sure you should be so disparaging about the points others have been raised when your only contribution has been "but it's theft", which isn't even true

An N64 ROM is a dump of a game cartridge to a single file.

In the late 90s and 2000s ripping audio CDs to listen to on MP3 players and computers became common place. It would be ludicrous to suggest ripping a CD to a PC and listening to it there for convenience reasons, or to use software to enhance the experience through for example, EQ effects, constituted piracy (copyright infringement).

So why does using software such as emulators or rewrites of game engines to play a ripped game file make people think piracy? Is it the format, since cartridges are harder to rip than CDs? In that case what if we were talking about PlayStation games?

And this'll really bake your noodle, if there's no difference whatsoever in a file produced as a result of being ripped from a game CD and a ROM file downloaded from the internet, is it unethical to choose the latter when it's more convenient?

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Hate it when bands play songs from their new albums.

What are you on about? I’ve read all the viewpoints, just cause I have nothing to say on them doesn’t mean I’m ignoring them

Takes less than 5 minutes sorting out Tiramisu on a Wii U

Even better now I can bloody inject Gamecube games to the home screen without wasting 5 seconds opening Nintendont first :toot:
