Exactly!
It's only my assumption of course, but the lack of pointer movement could be because it's hard to track movement of the joy-con. I know that my perhaps "hot" take on the joy-con isn't popular, but the recent House of the Dead suffered* with tracking issues and I wonder if that's a reason for the "auto movement" of the characters in Sports. Yeah, auto movement also featured in some of the sports on Wii, so maybe I'm being harsh... but, then again, the support for the Nunchuk in sports such as archery enabled dual movement methods on the Wii.
Plenty of previews are popping up this afternoon and they often have good things to say. I think it's a tough one for me as I've put hundreds of hours into Resort - mainly bowling and table tennis - and I kinda want things to stay-the-same-but-be-improved... a really difficult situation. Believe me, I want this Switch version to be great fun!
