Definitely, man. Miis were great because they were deliberately and cutely basic; these new character styles look to be technically better but at the expense of attraction. They don't look like anything beyond bland anime stylings.

Right now, I'm unsure about it; not just the presentation but the play and depth, too. I'm *really* hoping that plenty of people can, come Friday, say to me "there you go, jawa, you were wrong - this game is fantastic!".

Sat on my home screen waiting for Friday. Certainly not a game I'll do a midnight play of, though. Who wants to exercise at bedtime?

If you exercise right next to your bed, you can just collapse onto it once you're done, right?

Though getting to sleep might still be tricky.

Depends on the exercise, it may just get sticky.

Review are live. Well, reviews in progress, considering online play is unavailable.

Reviews make it sound like this is quite light in content, you have your main 6 sports but that's it, no mini games to help teach you the sports or anything like that.

I do get the feeling this is a game that will get good post launch support and maybe this time next year it will have a lot more of these features added.

From reading over the reviews so far, my interpretation is:

+ It's fun to play!
+ joy-con controls work okay!
+ It seems that the game will be updated as time goes on
- Weak character customisation at the moment
- Light on setup/game options
- Feels like it's a bit low content
- Online untested so far

I'd like to try it, even just for the bowling and the badminton.

Looks like you can get this for £30-£35?

I'm guessing the price reflects the low content.

It was £31 on the eShop when I bought it Monday. I think they know they'd never get away going full price with it.

Oh, man, it's confusing. Having read a couple more reviews, it generally seems that the volleyball and football elements aren't great, whilst the lack of single-player objectives/tracking could diminish appetite to play for any length of time.

I was on the fence beforehand and even more so now. Maybe I'd be happy with just the bowling and badminton. Never have I more wanted to access a demo!

If they could get away with selling 1-2 Switch for full price they could get away with this

I'm sure they have a lot of plans for extra content down the line so i'm not concerned about that aspect. I also got the physical edition for £30 and i'll mostly be playing this in multiplayer so I think it sounds worth while.

1 2 Switch is, from a fun-to-money perspective, the worst game I've played on Switch bar none. I'm not being burned again.
