Swing, kick and spike your way to victory with Nintendo Switch Sports, a collection of sports for Nintendo Switch that puts you right into the action!

Compete in six sports, including Volleyball, Football and Bowling, with real-world movements that model your actions in the game.

Image
Tennis: rally by gently swinging the Joy-Con controller at the right time.

Image
Bowling: roll the ball straight ahead, or give it a little curve.

Image
Chambara: Knock your opponent off the platform while attacking and defending

Image
Football: Use a gigantic ball to make dynamic plays. Enjoy matches with Joy-Con controllers to shoot and perform Diving Headers. By attaching a Joy-Con controller to the Leg Strap accessory included with the physical version of Nintendo Switch Sports (also available seperately), you can play Shoot-out mode with intuitive kicking motions

Image
Badminton: Control your shots left and right while keeping the shuttlecock in the air. Swing left and right while keeping the shuttlecock in the air. Unleash powerful smash shots to gain the upper hand!

Image
Volleyball: Use a Joy-Con controller to serve, bump, set, and spike the ball.

Play together in person* or online** with family and friends, or challenge players around the world. In addition to customising your avatar with items collected from playing online, there are all kinds of ways to have fun, such as testing your ability in the Pro League where you can try to increase your rank by winning in the different sports.

I'm so happy that Sports is coming to Switch :toot: . It was - especially the Resort version - one of my favourite Wii games and it's gonna be great trying out this fresh version with the joy-con. I hope that the feel is at least as good as the Motion Plus was.

I'll be getting it for the bowling alone. Not that I won't try the other sports in the game.

The Mii Resort Paradise dream is dead, though. Considering they're not using Wuhu Island here.

I loved Wii Sports so I'm most likely going to buy this, but I'd love if it had Golf from the start, golf was always my favourite <3

This might be the reason I move my switch into the sitting room. I can see the kids getting stuck into this and it being something we can all play together.

Bowling <3 . And, if it's now online, we really can go bowling together! :toot: .

Yeah, those figures looked Mii-like but a little different? I hope that we can use our Miis!

o/. Table Tennis was my top fave!

Great stuff, Rax! My Switch is also now setup in my front room and I can't wait to get Sports going. It'll feel like the Wii days again :-).

Jawa, table tennis was in Wii play (which was also great).

In for this for bowling alone! Wii sports and BoomBlox is the only real reason I still have my Wii U.

Table tennis was in Wii Sports Resort too. It was one of the best games on there, along with basketball and disc golf.

Is there any point in getting this for single-player? I've only played Wii Sports in local multiplayer and the wife has no interest in this.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Depends on if you'd get anything out of it. There's unlikely to be any sort of progression. It's just a here's a bunch of sports so play to your heart's content sort of game.

*Posts GTA IV soundclip* Yeah, online bowling will be a lot of fun.

Miis are in the game, but they do seem to be taking second fiddle to these imposters. After last years' games seeing what felt like a resurgence for the Miis, it feels weird to be going back like this. Where they're here because Nintendo felt they had to be.

Might have to invest in some new joycons and get this with the family in mind - I haven't used my joycons in months as the drift became unbearable.

Interesting to see that bowling screenshot has a gap, conveyor belt and ramp, so it seems some sort of challenge mode might be in.

Glad and surprised this is happening. Thought Ring-Fit (which I also love) might be the only type of this sort of game for the Switch. Absolutely no reason the two games can't coexist on the same console. No Miis but the character modes look fine though!

Shame golf isn't available day one, but that may imply they'll continue to do free incremental updates (like Animal Crossing) and sporadically add new sports? Can see this game having a big user-base - will possibly end up in the Switch top 10 best selling games on the Switch - even this far into the Switchs life span.

Golf will likely be good fun on your own, once that update lands

Golf is a big initial gap in the lineup but even so this looks great, I'll be getting it for local multiplayer with the family - bring on the arguments!

Honestly surprised that Nintendo haven't tried before now to build on the success of Wii Sports.
Looks fine, but could've done with a bit more variety. Volleyball looks pretty naff, as does chambara, golf (when it comes) along with tennis and bowling are nothing new, and then you're just left with badminton which looks...okay.
