Have they said whether there is going to be a drip feed of new sports being added to this, or is Golf the only extra we're getting?

One thing I didn’t quite understand. Leg strap support isn’t coming until after launch, but the physical edition comes with the leg strap.

So will the physical edition be out later than digital? Or will you be able to buy the physical game, and just have a leg strap you can’t use until the update comes through?

Anyone signing up for the online play test. Cool they are doing this and trying to iron out any issues before its properly released

I would imagine the physical and digital copy will be released at the same, with the physical copy coming with the leg strap you can't use until the soccer update. I agree its slightly sloppy but I guess the most practical way of doing it.

"A free update is scheduled for this summer that lets you play soccer matches with the joy-con controller and the leg strap accessory. You can use the accessory to play shoot out mode at launch."

i.e. full on matches won't be playable with the leg strap until the update, but shoot out mode will be supported from day 1.

I suspect it will just be the same leg strap that comes with ring fit.

That clears it up, thank you.

The game packaging looks fresh n' fun :toot: .

Edit: The physical version is £39.99 (inc leg strap) whilst the download version is £30.99. I'm thinking that the leg strap probably isn't gonna be an essential part of the experience and so, for nine quid less, I may select digital.

£30 is not actually a bad deal for what should be a some fun knockabout multiplayer action, I'm pleased with that!

You could also probably bodge together your own leg strap if you really did feel the need to kick a virtual ball.

Is the leg strap in this the exact same as the one with Ring Fit?

The Nintendo in the title is annoying me, Switch Sports sounds much better.

Also, this is going to sell so many copies. 10m minimum and I wouldn't be shocked if it did twice that. There's a whole generation of kids who will never have experienced Wii Sports and I think the updated graphical style works very well for this.

I just wonder if the joy-con will have the fluidity and tracking accuracy that the Wii Remote Plus / Motion Plus controls did? I'm sure I read that - despite the multitude of tech in the joy-con - movement tracking was perhaps not as sharp as the Remotes. I could be (and hope I am!) wrong, though. I'm just so pleased to see Sports return as I enjoyed it so much before.
