Wat. They are completely different games.

They seriously couldn't be altered a little to fit? Come on, Mario has RPGs and all sorts of stuff going on, the old 2D Sonics were often slow as strawberry float compared to today, but their styles are still different enough to allow for some interesting character swapping shenanigans... so why couldn't they partner up? I think it'd be neat.

Because all the time you would be thinking 'this game would be great if it didn't have Sonic sections in it'.

If Nintendo was involved too though, they could make sure those bits don't suck arses.

Nintendo using a round-table for a fighting game is a ludicrous idea. :slol:

(If it was that, then a lot of the talk would likely be about how the collaboration came about, who's working on what etc. You could easily fill the time.)

Although Pokken Fighters is likely a Wii U game anyway.

Maybe it's a new StarFox on 3DS?

Maybe it's a brand new I.P from Nintendo? Something that we wouldn't expect from them hence why they've dedicated so long to a Q&A session to answer and explain the design philosophy behind the game?
