I thought it was strawberry floating outstanding, and that's coming from someone who adores the film. I'm glad they made their own story and didn't just copy it. Saddens me that so few watched it last week. What a brilliant cast!

Hopefully more'll watch it now that there's a thread.

I also watched it on channel 4 today and thought it was good. Though I had it on in the background and when I looked back at the screen Martin Freeman had apparently murdered his wife. Bad time to look away I guess.

It was fantastic, really enjoyed it. This may as well be the official thread as I think it deserves one.

The first episode was brilliant, I thought Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton were excellent.

Wasn't going to watch this, expecting it to be a crappy version of the film, but think I'll watch it tonight as that doesn't seem to be the case.

Wasn't expecting Martin Freeman to be any good in this. I should probably start giving him more credit.

Also, I've never actually watched the film :shifty: I'm assuming I probably should at some point, right?

Yah, Jeez!

The film is great. It put Macy on the map for me.

I read that Fargo will be an series where there's complete new characters for each season. Hmm.

Anyway the first episode is a cracker. Freeman seem to bring over his nervous hobbit act for this role. It's a very dark black comedy and I burst out laughing at the basement scenes.

If the quality continues to be this good all throughout, then this year is a cracker for USTV.
