Thanks for confirming.

Thinking about it, this seems like the kind of game I'd like digitally (so I can dip in without swapping disks). Looks like it regularly drops to £20, so I'll see if it's included in the next sale.

Disk copies seem to be going for £18+ on ebay.

So I've played this a bit last night and tonight, and having an enjoyable time. I got to the Anomaly and noticed someone giving me some items. I didn't think much of it until I was in a space station later, selling items and noticed I had 250,000,000 worth of Ai Valve's! :slol:

And then I noticed I have the same again in my ship's inventory!

Hope having all this money will just remove some of the grind, and not spoil my enjoyment of the early game.

I am enjoying the Exploration update. It removes the Atlas rubbish and you can just get to playing the game, no running arround trying to fix your ship, you can just mine some stuff and fix it in minutes.

From what I have played, yes.

The rewards are pretty nice as well.

I have been playing this far too much. The lack of handholding in the first few hours is so nice however, the message spam is strawberry floating annoying. I hope to god they let you turn it off.

You really shouldn't play the exploration if it is your first time playing.

Hello Games have just released the second expedition called Beachhead. Starts today. The fist was quite fun tbh.

Seems to be a small crossover even with Mass effect.

All players now have until the 31st May to undertake this expedition for themselves if they wish to ultimately add the SSV Normandy SR1 to their frigate fleet for good.

No Man's Sky Gets A Massive Visual Overhaul

Taking a brief pause from adding completely game-changing mechanics to its epic space adventure, today Hello Games releases the “Prisms” update for No Man’s Sky, adding fur to creatures, light refraction to rain, more detail to cave environments, reflective metal to space stations, and much more. Oh, and also you can tame and ride flying pets.

Basically, Hello Games has upgraded just about every visual aspect of No Man’s Sky and released those upgrades as a free update, as they do. While nothing is drastically changing, so much is being affected in some way. Rain that makes surfaces wet instead of falling and disappearing is nice. I can’t believe I never noticed the lack of any fur on alien creatures before, but that issue is moot now. There are more stars in the sky, updated warp effects, volumetric lights in ships and space stations, and tons more. Hello Games has improved photo mode as well, adding more depth of field and bloom options.

Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC will enjoy even more detailed reflections, improved lighting, and other benefits. PC players with Nvidia cards can now take advantage of DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), potentially doubling their frame rates.

The next update, "Frontiers", is "coming soon" :toot: .

Such an incredible range of cool updates; I *have* to get back into the game.

^ From Reddit, although I can't see these notes myself on the NMS website.

Hopefully the other versions will have the update available soon, too!
