Haven't played it since launch so maybe I'll get the game out and try out this new update. I haven't got a clue what they're going to add but it would be nice if there was some sort of story mode as the main reason why I gave up on the game was there wasn't really no purpose for me to continue going forward.

I had assumed this was an in-house Sony game so I haven't been following it at all since the disastrous launch. Better game these days?

No it's just an indie from the developers of Joe Danger.

Bought this again in the PSN sale and I'm absolutely loving it after all the new content they've added. Must have played it for almost 5 hour straight on Friday night. Really enjoying the new story mode.

It's certainly a different game to the launch version, Mafro! It's cool that you're enjoying the new features although I must admit that the game seems a *lot* harder to me now :shifty: . It'll be interesting to discover what the big new update brings this summer.

Yeah I picked up a PS4 copy from ebay last week - it handles a little shittier than the PC version (probably just due to lack of practice) but it doesnt crash. Seems like there is so much more content and direction. Fun game, mostly.

I was thinking about getting this as I thought it was a budget title but it's full price. :fp:

As Jawa says the game is now jam packed with stuff to do and it also has several new quest lines. You'll be shelling out for a far more complete experience on Xbox than when it first launched on PS4.

I'm aware of that and I'm looking forward to some Re-Reviews but still.

I bought NMS at launch and whilst it certainly wasn't quite the game were were promised (I had thoughts of a neon Elite) I did spend some time in it, enjoying it precisely because it was a serene experience. I think this Next version of the game will be the version we were all expecting. It has to be if it is to win over the Xbox reviewers and buyers.

I think they really need to add a proper multiplayer to win people over who either sold it before, or Xbox-only gamers who've seen what happened and are still judging the game on what it was like at launch. The basics are there now with the ability to see other people as glowing orbs like in Fable 2, but it proper online could take this game to a whole other level.

That'd be a huge amount of work, I'm guessing if they did do it, it'd be quite a limited experience. Like getting a few people off your friends list into a game.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

It'll be rather odd if the upcoming enhancments are detailed on an Xbox show. Nothing "wrong" with that, but strange as the game remains - at present - a PS4-focussed title. Ah well, its cool that a wider audience will be able to play the game and it's exciting to think what the new update could include.

That suggests proper multiplayer surely?
