Not a new vid but, boy, I'm getting excited for this now. I'm hoping that the VR mode will deliver a thrilling new way to play rather than being a novelty. Gonna have to work out how to setup my PS4 so that I have space to use the Move controllers.

Oh, and a heads-up that the game is now on sale at £15.99 in the PS Store; the Beyond update will, as with all of the previous updates, be free.

Got all my VR stuff packed away for my house move in a couple of weeks, but looking forward to this. I might pick up the PC version as well actually.

I do have a concern about that aspect, Preezy... how will the 360-degree gameworld work in VR? Slow exploration may be okay but I do wonder about the space and fighting aspects.

It's currently on offer, Pedz; £15.99 in the PS Store.

Haha, yeah, the price has just been reduced. I'm surprised when the next update is arriving on Monday.

Man, unless they completely strawberry float it up (unlikely) this is going to be amazing in VR.

I'm tempted to jump on board the No Man's Sky train now that I finally have a PS4 (yes I know it has been released on PC as well, shush!) but I almost certainly would want to try it in VR as well and I'm not shelling out for the VR kit now as well!

Does the PSVR hardware get discounted much?

There's quite often really good bundles for around £199 that include everything you need to get started and 5/6 games. But that's usually when there are sales and stuff on.

The Mega Pack can currently be had for around £250 at Amazon just now.

Bear in mind that it doesn't include the Move controllers, which aren't technically needed, but they add so much to the experience it's near essential. They can be expensive though.

I would wait for a good deal on the system myself.

Finally, I would also add that Sony have confirmed that PSVR will be compatible with PS5, so you can carry it forward to the next system as well.

I had thought that Beyond was arriving on Monday... the 12th. Dang it, that's wrong, it's launching on Wednesday 14th. A whole week to wait. But, hey, ample time for excitement to rise further :toot: .

VR and multiplayer has been announced. Nothing has been said about what is going to be the third feature? MZK is dedicated NMS player, he speculates that it might be space ports or cities.

Would be nice if they gave a 60fps option on normal PS4 now.

It’s funny to think that I paid full price at launch and enjoyed a complete experience. Now it’s like I’m getting the sequel for free. This has to be one of the most worked-on-after-launch games ever!

I think you need to change your video settings on your PS4 itself to force 1080p.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.
