What shows or games would you really rather they didn't remake?

For me it would be Babylon 5.
The casting was perfect and just couldn't be replicated and the story was told so well I don't think any retelling would work as well.
Yes, the special effects could be better but they were good enough to tell the story and I feel the modern way of making special effect over the top just wouldn't help.

I'm not going to claim the show was perfect but for me it was special with some really iconic moments and characters that I just don't think can be recreated. The show told a story and it ended and that's enough for me  .

I wouldn't ever accept the existence of an Aliens remake.

Back to the Future. Not only is the script immaculate, but the whole 'his Mum fancies him' storyline would never fly nowadays. Also, the difference in youth culture between the 50s and 80s is probably incomparable since. If someone this year travelled to 1990 they probably wouldn't even need to change their outfit.

Labyrinth. I bloody love that film and you just know if they remade it now it would be full of CGI having none of the charm of the original's muppets.

Got there before I did. Don't touch BttF.

If they did something similar to The Dark Crystal Netflix series, a mixture of puppetry and CGI, it could be great.

Yeah, BTTF should definitely be left alone, same goes for Short Circuit and Gremlins.

Not sure if it would have to Back To the Future but I still think there's a fun film to be made about travelling back to 1990.

Wayne's World needs to be left alone too.

I hate to think what kind of rubbish they would come up with when trying to remake that one.

I dunno, Short Circuit is one of those films I kind of think should be remade (while still trying to keep it reasonably true to the original) to make it a little less problematic :shifty:

I really like it but it's essentially blackface.

It should be remade in India with an actor wearing whiteface.

The remake could be about an escaped Boston Dynamics killbot robot.

Online blogger gets bought out by large multinational and pressured into streaming bad videogames.

I don't think anything slacker based would really work today the worlds too different.

If they ever remade Jaws, or The Thing, I’d be livid. LIVID.
