If you guys are struggling on hard you should just keep practising on normal.

As long as your weapons are over 300 you shouldn't have any problems. It's all a matter of efficiency

Yeah, max legendaries are what you want for templar. 2 people go down, whovever has the highest int picks up the relic and jump-R2s the harpies. The other person shoots the back two oracles... Everyone else shoots the other oracles and templar.

The relic holder can go down alone but sometimes it's difficult to hit the oracles and if they die you have a back up.

So using the strategy of leaving the oracles and cleansing wont work for hard mode? I assume what you are suggesting there, we all stay up the top? We did try that however we seemed to make more progress with the former method. It was just bad luck on a couple of attempts where we missed the shields going down and the shot hit something else first, we were on about 10% when it enraged.

That works, but its safer having more people up top.

When it enrages it summons the oracles more frequently. If you're missing shots that'll be why it's enraging.

I also read a strategy were three people went down and the rest stayed on top and when the templars shield goes down one of the people goes and stands in the spot that the templar is planning to teleport too which should delay the templar from teleporting for a bit longer.

I was properly pissed the Relic hold could die for evading the plasma bubbles or whatever they are. I didn't even know that could happen...I mean if you've avoided one surely the game should let you off the hook.

Oh...and we always stay on the right-hand side. On occasion the git would be pretty close to us (easier to be killed directly or indirectly from splash-damage) so, at that point, wouldn't it not be a good idea to go to the other side?

That spawns minotaurs. Three people going down is too many - you'll split the Templars attention and do less damage.

EDIT: you can't evade the detain fields, if you leave them before destroying them you'll die.

It's a strain being this fantastic.

I see Xur is gooseberry fool yet again :fp: . Why do they even bother any more as he sells the same stuff over and over again. All I want is Praxic Fire for my warlock and he never sells it.
It's like Bungie actively want long standing players to get bored and piss off.

I have those and they are awesome for my hunter especially the factor that you can be slapped around easily as a hunter compared to a titan. Also i now have a fully upgraded Thorn thanks to Xur :datass:

Well...that's my point. It's feels like a broken mechanic because I can evade the fields.

Theyve succeeded with me.

I havent played for over a month, Ive got about 60 strange coins, and i only really check the forums every friday to see if xur has got Suros Regime. I might come back if the next DLC is better and cheaper. But Im predicting it will be equally scant and also all my existing weapons will be merked when they raise the attack to 360 and level cap to 34.

The problem is the people for whom the RNG goes poorly are getting beyond the point where they have the patience to wait any more given that they can play perfectly and still not get the items they want.
No game should have vital weapons like ghalahorn(sp?) behind an RNG that has not dropped for me in over 300 hours of gaming and 350 games of pvp. Many on the forum have put in much more time with more hard VoG runs than I have and still not got it and there are enough people with it with almost sod all game time that it just pisses people off.

I could spend the next six months trying and still not have the only 2 items I want in Praxic fire and the horn.

Right, I haven't done Crota's yet and really need some better gear and some radiant materials - anyone planning on doing it next week sometime? I'm definitely up for a run on normal?

You know what...I'm going to go against the grain here. I actually think Exotics are already too easy to acquire. I feel like Exotics should be very special weapons...but in most cases players have them a dime a dozen. I remember doing a Strike and I heard an Auto Rifle sounded different. Sure enough it was a Suros Regime and I badly wanted one. After a week I got it.

Exotics just aren't special weapons anymore. They should have made legendary weapons as rare as Exotics and Exotics rarer than they already are.

EDIT: I've concentrated on levelling up my Truth rocket launcher today so it'll be way more useful in the conclusion to our Raid.

Are we raiding tonight at all? I can either finish that VoG hard or do a normal raid if we are.

My problem is not with item rarity but the fact that I can't work towards something I want because of the shitty nature of the RNG system. You can't give me a path to follow that I can say with certainty that I will get an item I want it's just a treadmill that forces you to play the same content over and over for the slimmest of chances that the RNG will grace its favour upon me.

I'm not doing the strikes any more as I've done them to death and even the raids are only fun because the team we have is fantastic. The game severely lacks content and the loot system is laughable and I'm done.

I will help anyone who wants to do weekly stuff, nightfalls or raids but I have no reason to grind as if I'm not getting the items after 350 hours I can safely say I'm not getting it.
