I think we can finish it and I'll be on so give me a shout and I'll join.
I'll be playing Driveclub really badly in the meantime :slol: .

VoG hard at 8:00pm then? Be online if you want to join, priority goes to the people we already started with?

Getting the Gjallarhorn doesn't change the game in any significant way. You're not suddenly going to enjoying the things you find boring.

It kills things slightly quicker. That's it.

Xur isn't there to help the long standing players, he's there for the casual player to get a shiny new toy. The nightfalls main attraction is the experience buff, anything else is icing (no matter how pretty or disappointing) is just icing on the cake.

I'm still waiting for the Red Death, HotPF and SoDA... But I'm not shouting about the time I've played as if it entitles me to something. If you're not enjoying the game, stop playing.

A lot of people have stopped playing over the last week or so. CE has been a bit too rewarding and frustrating* for people to continue playing.

* Rewarding because you can get everything in two runs, with luck.
Frustrating because it's a badly designed, laggy, glitchy, piece of gooseberry fool raid.

Destiny has left a void, for me, I'm not sure what I'll be playing next.

I just think the game needs to add a path to get items rather than just crossing my fingers and hoping it drops. It's the uncertainty that kills it as I could theoretically play forever and not get the items I want.
I never said I was entitled to anything I just think that the most powerful items that are pretty much required at certain points need to be available via a quest rather than pure luck.
The only items that are earned at the moment are the exotics with quests involved and everything else is in the lap of the RNG gods and it's ridiculous.

My next multiplayer game will likely be Dying Light which looks like it could be great and you're more than welcome to join me and a few others on here who have it already via digital or in a few weeks via the physical release.

I think the nearest destiny t type game is The Division which also looks like it could be a huge team based time sink :D .

I'll be on for 8. If we can't do hard vog we could always do a normal crota.

That's the nature of RNG. There are things you can work towards to increase your chances of getting what you want: multiple characters, all running raids and nightfalls...

But if you don't enjoy the game, one weapon isn't going to change that.

It seems like you post the same thing every week or two.

But that's just running the same content over and over again and just hoping for the best which is just not worth it. I post the same thing over and over because what I'm saying goes to the very core of the game and it's broken and it's a huge disappointment that they don't even try and fix it.

The game has huge potential but Bungie are lazy twats who are content to make people grind for loot and then to top it all off they wipe experience from weapons after a few months forcing people to grind the same content even more.

The lack of events is a clear sign of just how lazy they are with Iron Banner being just 1 event copied and pasted with a few item tweaks and the Queens mission happening once and never repeated.

How you can defend the loot system is beyond me as it's about the worst system they could use as even with your method of multiple characters there's still a chance I could run everything perfectly on all 3 characters for the next 3 months and get nothing and for a game where part of the attraction is loot that's a shambles.

Yeah.

I mean Pete, if you want something to work towards level up your other character already so you can do the raid/nightfall more than once. That will increase your chances of getting what you want dramatically.

I think the destiny loot system is fine. It's 10x better than the borderlands one which was 'kill the same boss for 10 hours'. The game is fine for what it is.

I'm not defending anything. That's the way it is. You don't like the loot mechanics and you keep saying you're fed up with x y and z parts of the game. Why do you keep coming back to a game that you seem to have so many issues with? If its due to the team you're playing with, then just enjoy that and don't go into it expecting anything at all.

There are all sorts of problems with the game... I don't think you'd find a single player that argues otherwise.

Loot games tend to be running the same content over for the hope of getting better loot...

If they handed everything to you on a platter there'd be no reason to play the weekly events or raids. You're hooked into the loot mechanics. That's why you keep coming back. You may not like it, but you're certainly hooked.

The complete lack of PvE events and balancing the game based on PvP is one of the main reasons I'm getting tired of the game.

I'd love bungie to wave a magic wand and all the issues with the game were fixed overnight. But that's not realistic. The only ones losing here are Bungie, if they don't start listening to the community and adding and fixing some stuff then come the second "season" they'll be facing a harsh lesson.

My problem isnt with the loot system. Im not bothered about getting guns i dont have.

The issues i have with the game are that in a few months all the guns that i have now will get superseded buy new more powerful guns with higher attack level, to be used against higher level enemies. This means the 'work' that ive put in to get my current guns has been wasted.

Also as PC has said, the content is lacking. the 1P gets old quickly and is largely interchangeable and forgettable. The strikes get old quick too, theres a big lack of variety. And the lack of matchmaking for nightfalls and raids is, imo, a stupid omission. Ive heard the argument that these modes require total commitment from players that isnt possible in match making, but i totally reject that argument. If the option is there, and private games are still possible, then its not hurting anyone.

The PvP is good though.

The game lacks the enemy AI and set pieces of Halo, and the co-op lacks the variety of firefight or horde. Those games have replay-ability thought clever game design and use of technology. With destiny the strategic path though the game is very linear. The main driver for replayability in destiny is to get exp. And thats too much of a false and cynical game design decision. Bungie have made too many design errors with destiny for me to consider the game as a classic.

That's not really true though, because any guns you've already maxed (apart from exotics) will still be more powerful than any legendaries you gain (until you upgrade the new legendaries.

And they're changing the way you upgrade exotics so you wont lose the perks.

Guys, I was out all night, my band had a show, haven't been back that long. Sorry I wasn't available.
Truth be told, I'd rather do CE - all of the loot in VoG is all inferior to what I already have.
I've been dying to ask - what is this RNG abbreviation?

Buff we cleared both hard mode VoG and normal CE and then hard mode CE up to the witch boss. We had some expert help from akai. Templer went down first attempt!

So it is true.
