Yeah, a slow down during character change would make a lot of sense.

Still playing this and it's still so strawberry floating good. Like Link to the Past crossed with Gauntlet with a smidge of Hades thrown in.

So keen to get started, but I want to finish Sable first (very close).

Started this today, fully expecting to pack it in after about 40 minutes because that top down Zelda style hacky-slashy isn’t for me, but ended up playing a few hours and quite enjoyed it I think! The game has unlocks at levels such as 30, 40, which says to me that the game is pretty bloody long. I think the dungeon crawling is a bit dull tbh and it’ll probably end up being too hard towards the end, but it’s definitely worth a play.
+1 to time not slowing/pausing when you’re trying to select a character - I mean c’mon!

I'm about 6 hours in now I think. So far the only true annoyance is switching characters without pausing, as i5 becomes very necessary later on. I've resorted to the pause menu and selecting characters that way, as at least it pauses there.

I'm around 16-17 hours in and have just unlocked the final form. Still enjoying it and the smaller objectives are fun and each character and encourage you to mix it up. There was a stretch where my main characters were B level and wouldn't go any higher but that has now passed. In all I'd say its maybe 5 hours too long (I reckon I'll finish it in around 22-24 hours). Oh and there's that trademarked Drinkbox section that I'll never complete because I don't have the motor skills anymore. But that's OK, I'm not dead set on 100% completion.

I'm close to dropping this I think, the dungeons have become far too hard, with most of it being just swarms of enemies that kill you in a very short space of time (this is around level 25). It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to juggle characters on the fly due to the various immunities, and that sodding wheel selection doesn't pause it, plus I often select the wrong character.

I've got about half the map revealed, but I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not but the enemies have just suddenly got way too tough and there's about 30 of them at a time.

I’m nowhere near as far as that, about level 12, but I could see those sorts of annoyances really souring the experience from early doors, kinda glad I stepped off now as opposed to about 15 hours in.

I've never had to juggle characters within a dungeon. You do know you can put pretty much any skill and attack on any character?
I found the best early character was the magician coupled with the zombie attack that infects enemies. If you're always dying then go for the muscle fella. Also buy the melee reducing passive and equip the zombie passive that heals on hits.

There’ll be a blend of abilities that will undoubtedly make the game easier, but honestly…I can’t be arsed :(

The dungeon I was in had the enemies heal when you did, so the zombie passive was a hjjndrance rather than a help :x

Yeah, that one is a strawberry floater. The bodybuilder is the key in there I think and avoid picking up health items until everyone is dead.

And finished. A very satisfying conclusion with some good boss battles (and some strawberry floating annoying ones too). Will probably go back for a NG+ at some point (I think I hit around 60% of the achievements). Finish time came in around 22 hours.

This dropped today on Switch and PS, £20 at the moment with the launch discount, i'm tempted but I think i'll hold off for a bigger discount. Anyone else picking it up?

I'm tempted to buy on Switch.

I played quite a lot on a Gamepass trial on PC and really enjoyed it. Seems perfect for Switch and looks like it runs at 60fps.

I've wishlisted it for now, but I'm really rather tempted. I've not played a Drinkbox game I didn't like. (I've not played a Drinkbox game I loved either, mind.)

...okay it didn't last long on the wishlist, I've picked it up. It's already made me smile a few times in its first half-hour. Why would you use the knight though? Seems a bit rubbish compared to nailing things from far away with the ranger.
