Developer: Drinkbox Studios
Genre: Action RPG
Release date: Out Now

Looks great fun! From Drinkbox Studios, devs stressed this is NOT a roguelike/lite for those of you that are not fans of that genre.

I've never been let down by a Drinkbox game so I'm there, day one (mostly because it's on gamepass).

I wasn't as fond of Severed, but it wasn't a terrible game by any stretch.

Finally got round to the demo last night. I think I love it. All the mini-quests (so quickly accessible) for all the characters are going to provide lots of variety. I forced myself to stop playing once I got to the horse dungeon, as I don't want to have to replay too much of the early stuff when the full game releases, but I could easily have carried on for hours.

Seems like something that will be on Game Pass within 3 months of launch (if it doesn't launch in to the service, I honestly don't know). Will give it a try then.

Reviews

GameSpot - 9/10

Nobody Saves The World is a fiendishly compelling action-RPG with creative ideas that all fit together for frictionless fun.

https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/nobody ... 01-10abi2f

IGN - 7/10

The middle of Nobody Saves the World is a lot of fun, but it is bookended by a slow beginning and final hours that lose steam as the campaign comes to an end.

Eurogamer - Recommended

Drinkbox's latest is an ARPG that has real fun with the classes.

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2022 ... ting-treat

TechRaptor - 8/10

Drinkbox's signatue charm and humor is infused in this non-serious ARPG. With a wonderful art style and fun world to explore, Nobody Saves the World is a fun 20 hour escape.

https://techraptor.net/gaming/reviews/n ... rld-review

Metro - 6/10

Despite the huge variety of moves and characters, this disappointing follow-up to Guacamelee is let down by mindless combat and bland dungeon design.

https://metro.co.uk/2022/01/18/nobody-s ... -15938640/

Game Informer - 8.3/10

Drinkbox Studios delivers a funny and challenging adventure that's not afraid to get weird and encourages clever customization.

https://www.gameinformer.com/review/nob ... d-function

wccftech - 8.5/10

Nobody Saves the World is a lively, funny, and original take on the well-trodden Diablo-style action RPG that's held back only slightly by a few sticky structural issues. Nobody Saves the World won't completely change your world, but it should brighten it a bit.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun

An action RPG that has you shapeshifting through a colourful world. Despite that colour, and some really fun moments, repetitive dungeon-crawls mean you're not so much saving the world as clearing it.

Whatifgaming - 9/10

Nobody Saves The World is another outstanding title from Drinkbox Studios, and a worthy addition to the ARPG genre. With strong comedic writing, incredible art direction, satisfying combat, and a huge variety of forms, Nobody Saves The World manages to ease in new players, and satisfy fans of the huge genre.

WayTooManyGames - 9/10

Nobody Saves the World is a unique take on the ARPG genre with DrinkBox Studios' signature style and the end result is something that I completely recommend. While there are some things that I wish were fleshed out a bit more with the dungeons specifically, this was an adventure that I didn't want to put down. The way the game made me want to keep changing and upgrading characters is really well done by making their world involvement matter in unique ways.

XboxEra - 9.1/10

After the first hour, I knew they must have as this game is tremendous. Using a mix of great art, excellent music, and a complex but easy-to-understand gameplay loop it hooked its fangs into me immediately. The titular star of this game may be a Nobody but after this release, Drinkbox Studios are certainly not.

Played just 20mins, seems fun, how it looks on a 4K TV is surprisingly gorgeous, very VERY clean.

I'm now a horse that can only attack behind itself but also has a gallop move that ploughs through enemies. It's an absolute killing machine. So much fun.

It certainly seems fun, but I can’t see myself wanting to play 20hrs or so of it to complete it.

It scratches an itch for me with multiple small objectives across different character which makes you want to experiment with them all. It also does that Drinkbox thing of getting you to switch things on the fly. It kind of annoys me that the action doesn't pause or even slow when you hit the fast character swap.
