@Balladeer: Do we really want this timeout rule to apply in the situation where a team (even if OR) has already won? Surely it should be secondary to actually doing stuff, for the good of gameplay?

I don’t really want to talk about precise phraseology any more after the original rule was understood.
I think if OR’s already won then it’s even more important to have an idling prevention and ensure that the endgame’s fast and fun!

@Karl: I usually get my landlord to do my counting for me.
Happy for it to stick to a literal 72h - probably makes it slightly harder for OR to implement but I'm sure he's cool enough to handle it.
Have we passed the amendment yet?

But teams can still lose through not posting, they just can't win through dragging the game on if another team has already won

Good point, I propose a new rule:
All players must have fun, even if they lose. Any expression of non-fun, determined entirely at the discretion of a member of the Fun Police, carries a penalty of one Fun Point. All players initially have zero Fun Points, except for the Game Master who has 500 Fun Points. A player can only be considered part of the Fun Police (which is not a team, but an affiliated group of individuals) when they have a positive value of Fun Points. Fun Points can be gifted to other players by members of the Fun Police in response to notable in-thread expressions of fun, as determined entirely at the discretion of a member of the Fun Police.
As the chief member of the Fun Police I will ensure fun is had by all, and promise to grant Fun Points to anyone expressing how fun this rule is by voting in its favour.
