I would vote without the threat of overtaking me blatant self-interest though. Including that once points go below 0 they can't go any further. (I'd still want a single hit to be able to take points into the negatives, but after that no points can be lost or stolen.)

Also: re. our earlier conversation Dan, would giving the Abs a 5-point power as well make you more likely to support the Abs thing?

Revoke my last suggestion. I propose solely:

Any players with a number of points that is fewer than cannot zero cannot be deducted further points through the application of any rules, unless the meeting of the criteria of any said rules is done by that player to themselves (i.e. if a rule deducts points for breaking it and you break it, you still lose points, but the actions of others against you that would usually result in the loss or transfer of your points do not apply unless you have a points total greater than zero).

Alright, going to have my fry-up and then ponder some wincons! My first suggestion today, however, is suggested replacement for Rule 1:

PROPOSAL

After this rule passes, anybody not in the OP who wants to play Nomicade must write in-thread a short story about Investigators and Aberrations. It may or may not have a Lovecraftian bent or be related to the game so far. Karl_ will then be the judge over whether they can join or not.

I can't vote for that. While noble (and fun) in its aims, it won't actually encourage any new players.

We only have ten players, some of whom are basically inactive. Two people who replied to Orange mentioning the game in the Forum Game Test Group haven't gotten involved yet. We shouldn't seek to limit involvement from others unless the thread were to swell to unmanageable levels. Until that happens our focus should be on scrapping rule 1 as it is now altogether.
