So what hoops do I need to jump through to use search and see stuff in Trading Post?
I can't seem to find anything to help and my emails to both the 'contact us' links seem to have been black holed.

Thanks in advance

Hey,

I don't think the "newly registered users" usergroup have access to that forum, and perhaps people all trade with each other at their own risk. I think generally you'll want to post here a little while before you sell something or link to something like your eBay feedback. Anyways, I've removed you from that group and so now you should have all the normal privileges. :)

Our email server hasn't been reconfigured in a while, but I know my email which is username (one word) at grcade.co.uk works. Pretty much all admin activity here is done over private message.

Cheers Green Gecko, it was more that there seemed to be nothing to direct us noobs on getting out of bot jail.
So very much appreciate your help.

Lol I get you, don't worry, you've passed the test.

Like most phpBB forums we get an incredible amount of spam registrations, and yeah I'm the one who either deleted them on sight or runs a mass cull. There's almost no ability to get around it without manually enabling accounts like some other large communities or 5 layers of CAPTCHAs. We have a relatively strong SEO value so it's very much rise of the bots. Even human attempts like sponsored links to completely irrelevant rubbish I decline on an almost weekly basis. The last one they literally wanted a link to female escort "ranking" website. Fortunately I'm not all that hot on human trafficking.

Also BTW bot jail drops off after 10 posts. Legit spam is fine, bad spam is, well, the bad kind :toot:
