Four Minute FIFA 09 Advert to Premiere On Sky Sports One During Super Sunday
Written Friday, September 19, 2008 by James Parkin

To celebrate the upcoming launch of FIFA 09, EA SPORTS is proud to announce that a full one-off screening of the TV advert will premiere this Sunday during the Sky Sports' Super Sunday showdown between Chelsea and Manchester United.

EA SPORTS has secured the entire second half-time break and will broadcast the full four minute advert featuring cover stars Wayne Rooney and Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuaín.

'We're very excited to be showing the full four-minute advert during half time of one of the biggest games in football' said Trevor Uzice, Senior Product Manager - FIFA 09. 'This year's campaign is all about bringing football fans and gamers together and we hope the advert will prove very popular with everyone.'

Post-match the advert can be viewed at http://www.fifa09.ea.com.

The Sky Sports screening will be the kick-off to the FIFA 09 launch, coming out on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, NDS, PSP, PC and Mobile from October 3rd.

Must have cost them a pretty penny. Anyway, to make this a worthwhile thread, favourite advert for a game - GO!

I love that advert, bloody brilliant use of the characters if I may say so myself.

Crikey, 4 minutes? That's just enough time for a 25 yard shot to float back down on to the pitch............OH NO HE DIII'NT!!!!!11!1

Strange choice of Higuain for the cover, though.
