How long has it been? 8 years?! :slol: I got out because I realised I spent more time on here than actually playing games. I still pop on now and again to have a read.

Oh, definitely. Doom 1993 / Doom 2016, Need for Speed 1996 / Need for Speed 2015, and - maybe worse - Need For Speed III Hot Pursuit 1998 / Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 :x  .

I'll 1v1 you. Heroes vs Villains. Top of the landing pad. 'Sabers only.
I'll teach you a lesson about calling the PSP game the best. (Although I think I can forgive you. At least you didn't say Elite Squadron on DS.)

I've said it before, Elite Squadron is arguably the best and most advanced Battlefront game they made and the reboot was a massive step backwards. It's just the balancing with the custom classes that lets it down. Don't get me wrong, I love playing as a shock baton wielding unkillable madman, but it gets boring a bit quicker than Battlefront II!

A Link Between Worlds is one of the best 2D Zelda games :capnscotty:

No disputing that, but absolutely none of that applies for the DS version.

Odyssey and BOTW have broken into my top ten. That is all.

The only games that are probably going to break in to the top ten are BOTW and Bloodborne. Some others like Mario Odyssey might make it, should they supplant games in there, when I finally get around to playing it.

In no particular order:

Deus Ex (PC)
Ocarina of Time (N64)
Perfect Dark (N64)
Super Mario Galaxy (GC)
Pokémon Blue (GBC)
Sonic 2 (Mega Drive)
Lylat Wars (N64)
Banjo-Kazoooe (N64)
Skies of Arcadia (GC)
Bloodborne (PS4)
Breath of the Wild (Switch)

(Yes I know that's 11, but BOTW) probably needs to knock one of those out)

Hours played would probably dictate I need to put Destiny 1 or 2 on there, but despite the latter probably now being my most played game ever, I do wonder how much of that has been a superlative, best game ever-style experience and now much of it has come about from being embroiled in the grind, playing it with others for the community aspect, mindlessly just playing and enjoying the gunplay etc.

To be honest, as a lot of my list are heavily based around the years 1998-2003 it's going to be quite hard for anything to break in.

Some of the games could probably be replaced by new versions (Pokémon Blue isn't as good as Gold, but the former was probably the first RPG I ever played), and if I was to do a top 20 of games vying for a spot at the top, it'd probably just be more N64 and GC stuff, with maybe Sonic 3 and Knuckles in there.

Still trying to come up with a definitive list to see how the current gen has changed things, it's too bloody hard! Tackling this has allowed me to answer the "how good is your memory?" thread as well - bloody terrible! There are so many games that I know I've absolutely loved that are currently missing from my short list!

I'm definitely keeping a note of my top 10 and contenders for future reference from now on!

The last of us is my number one and
Ocarina of time as two ain't gonna change but the rest are a free for all.

The last guardian
Everyone's golf world tour
Whichever Pro Evo were kicking around 10 -13 years ago
Zookeeper
Bioshock 1 2 and 3
Tomb Raider 2(purely it got me into Tomb Raider)
Limbo ,Journey, Inside and Shadow Complex(I know it's 4 but let's get indie games out there)
Resident Evil 2 remake(using this as a remake loophole) and Resident 7 for restoring some faith in the series.
Symphony of the night (I'm number dyslexic)

Really though,it's a really hard thing to think about, without boiling them down to 10.
