10 year deal for a track that doesn't even exist or never been raced on before? :dread:

I didn't mind it when we had a few street tracks in Albert Park, Monaco and Singapore, but they're getting too common now, having a quick count there is 7 on the 2024 calendar, 8 if you count Canada.

I couldn't have less interest in a new track, and one that replaces the mundane Spanish GP should be an easy win.

I feel like this would be a big signal of Liberty looking to sell prior to 2026, and having this new track in the pipeline is just to look more attractive to investors on paper.

If Liberty do sell, who’s going to buy it? Only ones who’ll probably pay the ridiculous asking price is oil tycoons from the Middle East :dread:

"And oooh there is a yellow flag in sector 2. What's happened there I wonder? Oh we can see exactly what's happening, Logan Sargeant is having to go round the roundabout section over and over and - this is going to have to be a Virtual Safety Car isn't it Martin?"

"It's just like National Lampoon, Crofty."

So they’ll then double down with tracks in the Middle East and the rest will be street tracks, the London GP will finally come true :dread:

The should incorporate it into the track as a crossover, but drivers need to give way to the car coming from the right.

So they FIA (Honda etc) say Toto/Susie/Mercedes have been up to no good, discussing confidentual info. Then F1 themselves are like "u wot m8?"

Couldn't make this gooseberry fool up.

IndyCar race at Long Beach and I think they've had a roundabout in the configurations for quite a while now.

To be fair, I can see why other teams have had their suspicions raised a little, if what I've read elsewhere is correct, it all started from Canada 2022, when Mercedes turned up (in Canada) with the second stay support for the rear portion of the floor when the technical directive had only just been issued hours before (on the Thursday). I'd like to think there was nothing underhand and Mercedes just bodged a second stay from the spares they had on site.

As is nearly always the case with F1/FOM/FIA these days, they don't seem to actually discuss stuff between them, so it just feels like an absolute mess

I see all the F1 teams have issued statements denying raising any complaints about the Wolfs. However I can't help but be suspicious of Red Bull still

IIRC it was Red Bull being very vocal about this kind of thing back when that side skirt stay thing appeared just after a meeting about it.
