I find that all these nighttime street circuits are extremely similar. If it wasn’t for the chopper shots, it’s just fence.

I think Norris will hold him up too long for that.

It's a terrible track. Just look at how K-Mag was able to go over a second a lap down on what he could do, and was able to keep all those cars behind him. Exciting for quali, awful for a race.

I find this as well, it's so hard to place the footage, there's no identity in the track.
Apart from like, maybe, two or three corners you can recognise.

Such a gooseberry fool track.

Bearman getting 7th would be an amazing debut race.

That was a nice moment, Bearman’s dad getting a supportive pat on the shoulder from a high up in Ferrari.

Jesus. McLaren of Norris gains like a second on Hamilton in 5 corners.

The camera shots down the straight make it look like they're so much closer than 3 seconds behind Bearman.

Bearman is the driver of the day.

He's deserved it.

Aye what a great debut for Bearman, handled all the pressure of the Ferrari seat incredibly well.

Bearman getting 7th has been the only thing of note, 2 races and both been awful :dread:

strawberry floating hell, Verstappen has won 9 in a row, twice. Can’t they all just run GT3 cars with a proper BOP each week?

Not good at all for Danny Ric. I think both the VCARB drivers could be without a seat next season.

Red Bull is in a different league. :dread:

I think a couple of drivers need to look at themselves and they should be embarrassed by the sensational performance by Bearman.

Got told at the last minute.
Got one hour of practice.
First Qualifying.
First Race.
He brought seven points in the bag.

What a debut.

It was a really impressive debut at short notice but he was still in a Ferrari.

Still an impressive debut though, although Vandoorne had an ever better debut in Bahrain 2016, dragging that McLaren Honda to a single point and we know how his career panned out afterwards.

And Liam Lawson is really enjoying the fruits of his impressive stint from last year.

Great experience for bearman and he did brilliantly, but the next few years have got him a seat in the Haas at best.
