Let him back in obviously, but whatever his track position was when the red flag was shown.

Yeah it's bizarre, they can easily tell what order everyone was in for any given moment. No need to reset the order just because people at the back didn't have a sector time - the times were irrelevant!

I love how Magnusson has finally defeated the final boss. Instead of just strawberry floating up one drivers race and getting a penalty, he managed to strawberry float up the entire race by eliminating pit stops and got away with a racing incident.

Doohan finally deserves his chance on an F1 weekend as well, they can’t really afford to lose out on a second Alpine academy driver either….. he’s not shown the promise Piastri did in F2, but I’d say with a bit of time he’d not be far away from Gasly or Ocon.

Yep and its going to be one of the things which will be F1's biggest downfalls once the manufacturers decide to leave F1

When no private backers outside of the Middle East can afford to buy and run a team....... I do wonder how long it'll be before Aston Martin becomes Aramco F1 team, Stroll Snr must be getting annoyed Lance isn't a multi WDC yet

I also wonder how long Mercedes and Renault will stick with a works team before reverting to being an engine supplier, I think they'll both be waiting to see how they fare at the start of the new rules in 2026, then they'll make a decision, Alpine are just going backwards while Mercedes are just stuck in no mans land, seeing other teams leapfrog them and actually challenge Red Bull.

It's definitely a closed shop in terms of allowing a new team that might be able to compete. If you take the core issues the FIA want for a new team, Andretti have the financial and the historical gravitas. The current teams don't like it as it will cut into their bottom line. They should have no say, and F1 should actually look at the financial benefit of having a top US team competing.
