Aliens spotted over Las Vegas, The Return of the King :datass:

Got to say, that's some perplexing footage :o

The way the lights just vanish makes the boring part of my brain say they're flares that burn out, but the fun part of brain says that it's definitely aliens. I WANT TO BELIEVE :toot:

Typical lies from the Illuminati trying to cover this up:

It was alien parachutists.

I think there is plenty of evidence to suggest we've been visited by some kind of craft, whether it's from space or another dimension. The amount of evidence given is enough for some people, for others they need more.

And I hate the whole "well why didn't you take a pic or video". Have you tried taking a picture or video of anything in the sky, especially when it's a fair distance away. You'll never get a nice clear view of anything because the cameras on our phones aren't designed for that so it's hard to focus without resulting in shaky blurry cam.

Do you often contemplate the complexity of life?

So, if they visited here, what were they up to?

And why didn't they say hello? Rude.

I'm in the middle of a marathon X-Files rewatch and have just watched Redux part 1 and 2 which started series 5.
Coincidence, I think not!!!!!!!!!

The truth is out there!!!!!!!!! and in my series 1 - 9 dvd box set in stunningly shitty letterboxed sd format.

Coincidentally, on Sky News a couple of hours ago:

Disclaimer: I know this is from Russia Today but it's the best compilation I could find

Three videos purporting to be leaked military footage of UFOs are genuine, the US Navy has revealed.

The clips - published by the To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science In December 2017 and March 2018 - showed several mystery objects travelling through the air at high speed.

While the US Navy remains none the wiser as to what the pilots saw, it has confirmed that the leaked footage is real and that the objects have been classified as "unidentified aerial phenomena."

Spokesman Joseph Gradisher told NBC News: "The three videos show incursions into our military training ranges by unidentified aerial phenomena. The Navy has characterised the observed phenomena as unidentified."

Annoyingly this "To the Stars Academy" is fronted by the crackpot from Blink 182 which certainly lessens the credibility of the story, but still, wouldn't it be amazing... :o

They've obviously heard the news about Luton becoming the new Dubai and just got a bit confused as to where it is.

That's news of galactic importance and no mistake.

For what it's worth, I think it's almost certain there is life elsewhere in the universe. And if there's life more than once elsewhere which arose independently, the size of the universe means would be life in multiple places.

And so, some of that will be intelligent, and probably seeking out other forms of life to compare notes with, or eat.

On the other hand, I think the universe is so vast, and the problems of space travel so huge, that we may never meet them. And I think the only way we'd expend enough effort to visit them is if we thought they looked hot.

My idea is to set up a universe wide internet, so we can at least chat with the nerdy ones online. Maybe send pics. I'm not sure about how this would work, exactly, but I'm an ideas guy and I'll leave that to the details guys.

There were 4 of the same lights and a 5th that seemed to be a plane. Clearly 3 parachuters an alien and a plane.

I think the problem we have in finding alien life if that the universe is 13 billion years old so we could easily have had universe spanning civilisations a couple of times but they died out hundreds of millions of years ago and we'd have no idea. Humans have only been looking for a few centuries at most which is nothing in the scheme of things.

The universe is also pretty big and we've not searched much of it yet and we're still finding stuff on Earth let alone 300 light years away.

While we cannot be sure 100%, I think there is definitely life out there. The size of the universe makes it almost impossible that Earth is the only place with life.

Intelligent life is another question though. And intelligent life that can travel across the galaxy is completely different again.

So yeah, the truth is out there and WE WANT ELVIS BACK. :x

The other question is whether it's a good idea to be contacted by aliens in the first place.

Every time a more technologically advanced section of humanity has come into contact with a lesser advanced society it's been bad news for the latter so do we really think an alien species capable of interstellar travel will be a good thing for us?
I'd love to think we can have a TNG style future where most alien species are benign but the fact is any alien race that can reach us can swat us like flies and as shown in B5 with the start of the Earth - Mimbari war it could all be down to a simple misunderstanding or miscommunication.

Why was it 3 parachuters when there were 4 lights (not including the light that is a plane.) It's clearly a lie.

While we are a long way from perfect (a bloody long way!) the difference in western society from the first Europeans in America to now is vast. The majority of people in the West would not support colonisation anymore and the majority do not support imperialistic wars. Our leaders might want to, but most people don’t.

It seems unlikely to me that a hugely advanced alien civilisation would still be a race that enjoys war and there is nothing on Earth that they would need or covet. Once you have the galaxy open to you, what are you fighting over? You have more resources than you could ever hope to use.

It’s possible an alien race might be war crazed religious fanatics, but I doubt it.

Far more likely (although I don’t believe they really exist) is that alien races would see our immaturity and leave us alone until we are capable of not ruining everything.

Agreed. I know Stephen Hawking was worried we'd be ravaged by an advanced alien race, but on the other hand, I think an advanced society requires altruism, rules and ethics. Or it falls apart.

And technological leaps require cooperation, civilisation and learning, which only really work in a functioning society.

So I say let's send these pics into space, and if we get a ravaging, so be it. It's a motto for life.
