It’s basically a trippy remake of Scrooged.

Meanwhile, in real life Punxsatawney (copied from their website)...

Here Ye, Here Ye, Here ye

Now this second day of February, two thousand and twenty-one, the one hundred and thirty fifth annual trek of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club…

Punxsutawney Phil, the Seer of Seers, the Prognosticator of all Prognosticators, was awakened from his borrow at 7:25 am by his handler and friend, on this quite morning where few can attend.

In Groundhogese, Phil directed the President and the Inner Circle to his prediction scroll that reads.

It is a beautiful morning this I can see,
With all my fans viewing virtually.
With my faithful followers being safe and secure,
Our tradition of Groundhog Day must endure.
We all have passed through the darkness of night,
But now see hope of morning’s bright light.
When I turn to see, there is a perfect shadow cast of me.
Six more weeks of winter there will be!

... and don't forget your booties 'cause it's cooooold out there today!

It's coooold out there every day. What is this, Miami Beach?

Not hardly. And you know, you can expect hazardous travel later today with that, you know, that, uh, that blizzard thing.

That blizzard - thing. Oh, well, here's the report! The National Weather Service is calling for a "big blizzard thing!"

Yessss, they are. But you know, there's another reason why today is especially exciting.

Especially cold!

Especially cold, okay, but the big question on everybody's lips...

On their chapped lips...

On their chapped lips, right: Do ya think Phil is gonna come out and see his shadow?

Punxsutawney Phil!

That's right, woodchuck-chuckers - it's... GROUNDHOG DAY!

I think it's time we gave this day some appreciation.
