I feel like this potentially has more depth than we give it credit for. You don't score without boost and if you're driving conservatively your boost meter will quickly empty. They are pitching this as a live game too so all it will need is a couple balance patches to get there.
Regardless it's a great stress reliever and absolutely beautiful.

It does look to be pretty entertaining... plenty of slamming, crashing and chaos!
I remember from the beta it being really intense; proper heart-pounding mayhem where you appreciate the gaps between rounds to get your breath back. I'll start adding people in this thread on psn over the next week or so.
Gave this a quick spin last night and tried some of the cars that weren't in the beta, most of which are variations on the same themes. The bigger vehicles seem to be the most popular, picking a bike is a daring move and i think this is the first racing game that doesn't need an accelerate button as you're going all-out all the time.
This is definitely better in short bursts, i find about an hour or so is a decent session time to avoid seeing the same stuff over and over again, i'll add this to overwatch for quick games to play for an hour or so.
I don’t know how much content is in the game but certainly doesnt look like a full price release. It just has no personality about it. Nothing about it stands out. Might have been better to be a smaller downloadable title.
I'm afriad for all my enthusiasm, I flipped this for xbox credit to put towards Forza Horizon 4 after the MS e3 conference while it still has some value.
I like this a lot but does the picture in game look a bit washed out for anyone else? I think it might be related to HDR but it's almost like the brightness is up too high. Every other game looks fine (sdr and hdr).. menus look fine too it's just during gameplay. I've tried tweaking the in game brightness which helps a bit but have to mess around with TV settings to make it look more how you'd expect which is a pain.
It's ok as it is just takes away some of the sheen from all the neon effects and mayhem.

Christ. It's almost certainly a game that would benefit from being on GWG or PS Plus. If it needs an online community to thrive but sales are that bad it's gonna disappear without a trace.
