Hugely off putting if true.

That is... really not great at all. I'm not quite at Sticker Star 3 levels, but I really need to be shown levelling up before I cancel my pre-order at this stage. If we don't see that by the end of June I'm out.

because intelligent systems know people hold the first three up on a pedestal and they know no matter what they do nothing will be good enough so they make the games they want rather than what the fans demand

I just find it a shame they don’t want to appeal to the people wanting a battle style of Paper Mario 1&2, as I said out of the battles this looks great but when you’ll probably be spending a chunk of time in battles it needs to be good and at the moment this doesn’t look to have a great battle system. If the hammers breaking is true it’s just another minor annoyance that doesn’t need to be there in the first place.

Bruh it's a joke. I hope you get enjoyment out of the game. Someone has to. Just hope the next game isn't Sticker Star 4.

This is a straight up lie though. A very flawed one.

My will to play nintendo games will soon stop if they keep implementing this mechanic into games.

It doesn't look like there's any levelling up. It seems like you get coins for battles not XP.

Again, if true they wonder why fans are constantly wanting a TTYD remaster constantly :fp:

Seems to me as though the system is going to be:

Use weapons in battle > get coins for winning > use coins to buy weapons when they break

I think I’m done supporting Nintendo’s bullshit with this series, they seemingly have no interest in doing anything with it other than leeching of people’s love for the stories and characters of earlier games. I feel like TTYD has essentially cost me 200 snoops because of the hopeful anticipation that they might final turn out a worth sequel.

It’s the same point I’m at with Starfox.

I mean this looks fine, it’ll score mid 70s probably and I expect it’ll be about as good as the last 3 games, and given the Switches success it’ll likely be the best selling in the franchise. But with other stuff out around the time and new consoles a few months away I just don’t want to reward Nintendo on this crap anymore and will just borrow a friend or family members copy later on. I mean those bosses :fp: sure like what you like and if you think you’re going to enjoy them then great. But having experienced the slide of this series into the shithouse, fighting a strawberry floating roll of sellotape is the last straw.

Watch me buy it anyway :fp:

Not explicitly stated but I'm extrapolating from the video where they show a completed battle and just coins being awarded. Maybe it cuts just before XP is given out but I doubt it, there's no kind of XP gauge on the screen.

Regardless of any disappointment you may have at this game - which is arguably justified, depending on how it turns out - this comment is particularly entitled. If you bought the console specifically because you wanted to play a game that has never been announced, that's on you, surely?
