I’m on the Shogun Studios bit now, i am getting into this a bit more now, i don’t even try to avoid the battles really as they are usually over so quickly it doesn’t really bother me.

I loved the bit when you found the masks

One of the big complaints that keeps rearing its head is they can't create original characters for the Mario universe. I get the issue and I get IS are restricted but I really do think they underuse what they have available. There are far more characters in the universe than they actually use. For example, i was disappointed in the 4th streamer to find the Origiami Creator was just a green toad. Why not use another Nintendo character? Professor E Gadd would fit. i get they are limited but i also don't think they're using everything they have available.

I struggle with that argument too (and likely don’t really understand it). They can’t edit existing Mario characters apparently but the Bob Omb and many of the toads have great characterisation.

They can’t make original characters either apparently, yet the Stationary also have unique personalities...

I’m not sure I understand the argument...

My understanding is they can give personalities to Mario characters they just can't change the design.

For example, they can't put a Toad in like this:

Any new characters they add have to be game specific and not introductions into the "Mario Universe". I suspect this is why the bosses are so stationary orientated.

I'm really quite enjoying this. The battle system isn't great but its quick and (as far as I've seen) there aren't random battles every 30 seconds. The writing is funny, its looks nice and the music is good. If it clocks in at less than 30 hours then it won't outstay its welcome either. If its an 80 hour game then that might be a bit different.

I've seen the main story pegged at 25-30 hours. Fits with my progress (half way through 4th streamer, played over 20 hours)
