Edea's bikini was an INTEGRAL part of the Bravely Default experience and the CENSORED game is now COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE

I might be one of the few people who was happy to hear the whole dating hostess stuff was taken out of the Western release of Yakuza 3. Always my least enjoyed part of the game, and properly cringey. :dread:

For sure. I have a relatively high tolerance for anime weirdness, but it's still super embarrassing. Taking it out improves a game on account of not having to cringe through it, and it's good the worst of it gets localised out of a lot of western releases nowadays.

After all if I wanted to see anime tits I would simply view them on the internet, at 4am, illuminated only by the sickly glow of my computer screen.

You think they were at 47 and were like "mate, we gotta bash out 3 more for the big 5-0"?

I have a very low tolerance - the first few scenes of Tokyo Mirage Sessions put me right off. And then you have other people complaining that the gravure photo. bit was changed (complete with ‘Well actually it’s about the creepy side of Japanese fashion’). I don’t get it.

And this is why I don’t get it.

Anyway, Paper Mario! Lovely and wholesome.

The cringe anime stuff was my biggest issue with XC2.

That's why I'm reluctant to get back into Xenoblade 2 but I can't wait to get DE to play through on the Switch - stealth Xenoblade thread! :toot:

On topic though, the trailer for Oragami King looks interesting and like it could be closer to classic Papes. I did enjoy Colour Splash but appreciate the RPG elements of the earlier games. Hopefully this is a return to form. If not, I'm well overdue on replaying TTYD.

Watching the trailer, does anyone else find the far out shots of the big open spaces don't look great? I'm not sure the paper style graphics suits those wide open spaces.

I thought the same, up close it looks rather nice but the sprawling plains looked quite poor.

May as well post this piece wot I wrote about XC2’s female characters again.

Anyway, paper characters don’t have those problems for obvious reasons.

Is it worth playing Odyssey before this? I'm not sure I like the look of this but the last Mario I've played is Mario 64

The two will have nothing in common in how they play most likely, but Mafro’s still correct.
