Then they'd complain it was a remaster and not a sequel

Been tempted in the past to get into this series on a number of occasions, just never quite got me over the line. This does look good though - as they all do, alongside some rather creative concepts and sharp dialogue - but I'll see what the consensus is and then maybe, just maybe I'll...join the fold.

So I'm not super attached to Paper Mario and have briefly played some of the past games. But this looks pretty dope to me. Everyone worried about it being action adventure but that kinda gets me more interested.

Oh I’d be delighted as well :toot:

To be honest I still don’t see it happening, they must know how much people want to see it remastered and yet they’ve not done it, seems more of a joke posting about a remaster than anything serious sadly

Yeah, I never played TTYD so I'm not so hung up on THERE MUST BE RPG ELEMENTS. This looks like a fun well written adventure, which I'm definitely in for.

Maybe I don't know what I'm missing because I only played Sticker Star which was pretty average.

I never played Colour Splash after Sticker Star :dread: but I’d say in confidence that Sticker Star was the low point of the series so far. Colour Splash looked loads better but I never got round to it.

This game MUST be as good as, if not better, than TTYD otherwise it will be ABSOLUTE SHITE 0/10.

If they had teased a Paper Mario related announcement earlier, I'd have predicted a port of Colour Splash. Of course, it would have to be titled Paper Mario: Colour Splash Duluxe.

You know what? I'm annoyed thisis coming out this year. I was planning to stream The Thousand Year Door soonish as I streamed Paper Mario last year. This has put a spanner in the works.

I wonder if it is many people who want to see it remastered though, or a vocal minority that won’t translate into sales? Like F-Zero fans, or Remainers.

I wasn’t overly keen on the last two games but loved what I played of TTYD (actually planning on playing it fully as I have now set up the Wii) and Super Paper Mario was a great game.

This looks good, nice variety but after the last 2 entries I’ll wait and see on this one.

Do it! I’d still watch it anyway, such a wonderful game to firstly play and secondly watch if playing isn’t an option :)

It looks a little plain. If the Metroid bit was their attempt at showing the game's humour then...

I suppose I'm more in this boat. Tbh I'd be happy with a TTYD port if they added improvements/extras. Idc if a new game is better than TTYD, but the same genre and style would have been nice...
