They should be kept sealed and in a draw. Preferably a sealed one :capnscotty:

... . I always keep all of this kind of junk gaming memorabilia. I like to think that they will become highly collectible in future years but I know that nobody will want them and they are just filling up space that I don't really have.

What's not to understand.
When I look to buy a switch 2 I can sell my games and console and put the money towards the new console. No point keeping a game forever i won't ever play again.

Yep, I’m genuinely intrigued to see if this is as good as people have been claiming for the past 20 years.

It will probably be on my shelf for that long before I get around to playing it tbh.

Made a very brief start on this, basically looking for Frankly

Looks lovely though  The 30fps change is evident, but I dare say after an hour or two it'll be fine.

Yep, at launch, physical media is cheaper than what Nintendo charge for the download (£40 at Curries versus £50 or £60 on the store).

Crucially, Nintendo first party games hold their value ridiculously well. Try and buy something like Mario Odyssey or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe now and it'll still probably cost you £30 minimum for a new copy. Nintendo games are where I don't feel wasteful getting at launch because the saving I'd get buying it 1-2 years down the line is negligible.

Xbox/PS5 digital software costs you £60 but has no resale value when you're done. I do tend to get 95% of my games digital on those consoles, but often feel like it's better waiting a year, as sales are so much more frequent and often better discount.

I'm also guaranteed to have my purchases carry over. Anyone who bought a Wii U game (Wikipedia suggests a list of 7 remaining survivors) can't play anything digital on the Switch (yes, I know they can't play physical games either, but you can get money back by selling them). There have been cases of physical backwards compatibility, but Nintendo tends to wipe the digital slate clean with each console. I have hoping its sorts both out for the Switch 2...

all the NPCs are so much more emotive in this it keeps catching me off guard. nice touch though

it's also interesting how everyone refers to hooktail as she. in the original didn't find that out until near the end

Started last night, game looks lovely

One thing that I thought was a bit weird at first though were the reflections. I’m guessing they are going for the ‘glossy paper’ look but seeing all the surfaces being reflective (like the ground in Rogueport) was a bit off putting at first

Was a good time for me yesterday. Finished most if not all of Chapter 1 and had a delightful time with the story. I'll definitely be sticking with this to the end.

Bit jealous of anyone getting to experience this for the first time. Enjoy!
