I love Parkrun and it's an awesome way to start your weekend

New route for the launch on Saturday. I got overtaken by someone pushing a pram, a man who must have been over 70 and a girl who was about 11.

I'll definitely be going out for a run at some point this week in an attempt to improve on that for next time!

Always liked the idea of Parkrun, but it's really not at a convenient time. Shame they don't do a couple of different options over a weekend.

Where does everyone run? Trying to do a lot more new parkrun venues.

It's a shame Lotus, they did think about it but decided that they couldn't get all the volunteers needed to do it more than once a day and Saturday at 9am was the ideal time when most people were able to attend.

Got about 300 at the weekend, which I was surprised by considering the weather, but I guess a lot of people had planned to do it, and weren't going to the miss the chance after 16 months.

28.47- was happy to comfortably get under 30 minutes, had a little bit of a walk in the final k (before smashing the last 200m), so hopefully over the next couple of weeks can eliminate that and improve my time.

Wasn't that hot but was super humid so hopefully get something a bit nice next week.

It's a free event at the end of the day so it's a bit much to run multiple events. I think 9am is a good time and still leaves people with there day ahead.

It also takes advantage of using public space when it's not really being used for anything else. Having Parkrun at say 3pm on a nice Saturday would be absolute carnage. But at 9am there's about 5 other people in the park.

24:05 for me. Nice to shave 35 seconds off last week but had been hoping for sub-24 :shifty:.

I ran a 22.52 today, more of a steady run for me but was nice to run each mile faster.

I'm 4 of 50 and when I get there my 50th run will be on BH weekend when I'm on holiday so I'm thinking of doing either Bournemouth or Poole

Hit a new PB for my local parkrun beating my previous PB by a massive 35 seconds. 21:49 happy with that.

Yep, it's fair enough - I appreciate it's voluntary so I'm not complaining. Clearly it's a time that works for a lot of people, so it's all good.

Did my first parkrun last week and first run in ages. Was good fun when I'd gotten over nearly dying. Too hot though
