After getting my fastest parkrun in 5 years last week at hilly man city, I managed to beat the time this week by 30s at a much flatter parkrun.

I was at Weymouth parkrun last weekend running my 57th different parkrun. Back home at Pomphrey Hill this weekend, need to help out.

Seem to be hitting sub 23 constantly now which is good. I would like to push that back to sub 22 times which is what I was doing before my sciatica came back (in 2021). It's taken ages but I seem to be heading in the right direction.

22:40 last weekend at my home parkrun which is hilly!

Not a bad run at Gloucester City to complete my Staying Alive challenge. 22:14 which is my fastest time of the year and would have been quicker if it wasn't longer than 5k and I wasn't wearing trails on a flat 97% tarmac path.

Annoyingly when I hit 5k I was at 22:04, my silver target for the year is sub 22 which was annoying. but the good news is the times are coming down.

June
24th - Parke
July
01st - Sharpham Estate
08th - Torbay Velopark
15th - Blaise Castle (2nd visit)
22nd - Pontypridd

As i was walking to the start of parkrun yesterday, there were a few kids (12ish yo) on bikes with the cones near the finish. I had got there early and there wasnt too many people about. I didnt know if these kids were stealing or setting up. I walked to the start ( about 200m around a corner) and asked the RD. He said yes they were stealing the cones and then he ran after them and he managed to retrieve the cones. Should i have confronted them?

No, unless it's obvious I think it's reasonable to assume people are good/doing the right thing. I think the damage that being accussed of doing something wrong by an adult at that age is worse than a few missing cones.

Sharpham Estate - Hilly and difficult, managed 23:30
Torbay Velopark - Flat! 22:28

Coed Cefn Pwll was a hard parkrun on the weekend, 137 meters of elevation and in the top 10 hardest UK parkruns! still I have Durlston coming up which I think is number 3 with 200+ meters of elevation

Pirates completed
