Remember, remember, the Twenty Fourth of September
Proroguement treason and plot
I see no reason why Tory treason
Should ever be forgot!

Boris Johnson, 'twas his intent
To lie to the Queen and the Parliament
Dissent and lies he did sow
Parliamentary sovereignty to overthrow
By Law's providence he was caught
A unanimous decision by the court
Holler boys, holler boys, unveil his hypocrisy
Holler boys, holler boys, long live democracy!

I’d laugh forever if Joris Bohnson went to the ECJ.

Not only is there no hint of a suggestion he might resign, he's doubling down. I think even Cummings getting the boot is unlikely due to the perception of it showing some sort of weakness

He also seems to have forgotten that he told everyone (including the Queen!) that proroguing Parliament had nothing to do with Brexit......

Nah. Limmy's a comedian so whatever, but that take is pure shite. The decision was good and meaningful because 1. it gets MPs back into Parliament at a time when the government needs to be pressured and scrutinised, and 2. because correctly branding Johnson as having committed a crime against democracy is good propaganda for opposition parties.

Something doesn't have to instantly solve all our problems to be good.

You just reminded me, the burning effigies here in Lewes are going to be quite a sight. I guarantee they will add a barrel of petrol to Boris' head in at least one fire site.

Probably the only place in the country where you can get away with that sort of thing.

I guess I'm way too cynical at this point to think this will do anything ("anything" as in "stopping Brexit") but I'm happy for Dual to be banned if I'm wrong.

You are like the Remain version of the Leavers who say things like "doesn't matter what the people want, the elites will overrule us!". ;)

I hope parliament doesn't allow it. Tories need to be aware that their conference got screwed directly as a result of Boris acting unlawfully.

They might be aware of that in private, but in public it’ll be the fault of everybody else.

Nope, it's one of those judgements where his initial crime has been erased, the prorogation never happened. He will never gave prosecution, even if he breaks the law by taking us out with no deal.
