I hate that I had to read a Spectator article but that is
magnificent in its lack of self awareness.

Am I such a bad person?
No. It's my friends who are wrong.

They are utterly determined to make this "surrender bill" label stick aren't they.

Brexit is going to destroy Boris just like it destroyed Maybot. It'll also most likely destroy whoever leads the country next, and the person after them, and the person after them...

Remember these are the people who probably wank themselves to bed each night whilst reciting Churchill's "We Shall Never Surrender" speech. They think everyone not 100% in on their blood-pact to restore some nonsense idea of an imperial England are traitors.

Including Churchill's grandson who, despite obviously being a Tory, is now being described as left wing.

I always find it odd "Churchill's grandson" is 'a thing'. Give him his own identify/agency etc - but then I remember it's Tories and the importance they put on bloodlines

Yeah bloodline is part of it but the main reason people keep bringing it up is because of the hero worship that surrounds Churchill. Leavers like to talk about WW2 all of the time, Johnson himself has written books on Churchill and the far right absolutely love old Winston.
So it is far more helpful to say “Johnson kicked out Churchill’s grandson” than “He kicked out Nicholas Soames”. Because most people have no idea who Soames is.

Is there really any point in ruling it unlawful given they've all closed up shop and strawberry floated off for 5 weeks? Absolutely nothing whatsoever will come of this. Nothing. There is no accountability in politics anymore.

It goes to show the real motives of the official vote leave campaign. They wanted sovereignty, but are more than happy to bork the sovereignty they do have. Parliament should be recalled.

As if anything will come of that. Scotland's courts are taken about as seriously in England as a bunch of clowns trying desperately to save their circus.
