I'm betting behind the red door is

A holodeck on the Enterprise with the The entire Enterprise crew pointing and laughing at them as revenge for the super gooseberry fool way that series ended.

I think:

It's Mick Jagger with a can of black paint.

I'm definitely liking the series a bit less. The last couple of episodes have felt like a bit of a holding pattern and I really want them to move the plot forward.

Troi is the worst councillor
"Whatever happens, I'll be here with you facing it"
*Glances through door*
"strawberry float that gooseberry fool I'm out here!"

Most of the the fan theories ended up being correct-ish or correct adjacent. Was that Alice Krieg?

"No one's heard from the Borg in decades". Continuing to ignore the Commune from last year then

I think they've written themselves into a corner. Even when everything's hunky dory fixed next week, half the crews of every ship will have been killing the other half for hours. There's no way to recover from all the lost lives surely?

Shaw's death was pointless and a poor end. Seemed to be just so people know "THIS IS SERIOUS! THIS IS THE ALL IS LOST MOMENT!" - which give the massacre happening all around them seems unnecessary and like they had no faith in storytelling

Think its still continuing it's downward trend from first half highs, but it's still so far beyond s1/s2 I can enjoy.

I really enjoyed that.

I think Seven will save Shaw with her nanoprobes like she saved Nelix that one time, no way they kill his character when he has so much potential

I think they're building a foundation for a series with Seven commanding the Titan

They've written themselves into such a corner with everyone over the age of 25 in the process of being brutally murdered (that's every Star Trek TNG/DS9/Voyager era character you know...) that I can't see how they can undo it without a time travel reset. The damage is just too big. It's not like Prodigy where you could handwave "Oh it's just lots and lots of ships damaged. They can rebuild")

So Shaw can come back :D (And the Excelsior/Elrond...if anyone cares)

Did I miss something or do they not actually have a plan? They went to get the D....for some reason. But what are they planning to do against the entire assimilated fleet of Starfleet. etc. They heroically warped back to Earth at the end without the hint of plan...

Since the writers are obsessed with First Contact, they'll be easy time travel. Realign the deflector and bing bam bam off you go.

Same. Especially hearing Majel's voice as the Enterprise D computer again

I wonder what Taf thought of it.

I thought the "organic Borg" thing was crap. But overall it was a decent enough episode.

They've left themselves a lot to do in the final episode though. I expect a reset button will get pressed at some point.

I vocally giggled and grinned like a strawberry floating child when they showed off the Enterprise-D. :slol:

I loved the little nod to the lighting. I was wondering if the Bridge was gonna be lit like the TV show, Generations or all the other modern ships where its dark as strawberry float, and then they start strawberry floating dim before they slowly turn up. They knew people talk about how dark these new ships are. Loved it.

3x09-

I know the reason was because they wanted the Next Gen cast on the EnterpriseD by themselves but in-story it looks like the characters left Seven and Rafi to die on Titan.

Bad death for Shaw as well. At least let him have a heroic sacrifice given this emotional connection with the borg.

I'm fully expecting Seven and Raffi to turn up in Voyager at the end

I think Shaw will as well. Seven can save him and it'd be the ultimate strawberry float you as well given how much he hates the Borg for what they did, only to be saved by Borg tech from Seven's nanoprobes.

The ending to that episode was very fun, enjoyed the big moment a lot. The plot has really gone off the rails though...!

My thoughts can be summed up by "ugh":

I think it lost me when they brought the Borg back. Like they said "We haven't seen the Borg in x years but they've been important parts of the last two seasons.
I kept thinking about that complaint that Dr Who always seems to lean on the Daleks like a crutch. It kind of cut the whole bringing back the Enterprise D thing for me at the end.
Also I do really see how they're going to take on the whole fleet. I'm guessing time travel and maybe making some kind of deal with the evil shape shifting lady.

EDIT: I actually don't want to be too negative about it. Still the best season by far but over all it's good not great.

Surely they have put a pathogen in Jack which will get into the Borg system and destroy them before Janeway comes to save the day in Voyager with Seven as she's got a thing for the Borg

Season 1 borg were a cube no longer connected to the hive. Season 2 was the borg that became Jurati's borg, people from the past assimilated. This season is the real borg threat, the one that Janeway heavily crippled in the Delta Quadrant. This is the real actual dangerous borg this time and the plan they had with the changelings was actually pretty damn cool at least.

Sure but it would have been cool if
they hadn't been heavily in the last couple of seasons. Although to be honest I wish they had stuck with the changlings and shown what they were doing since the end of DS9

I hope the Borg win this time. Just for a change of pace.
