I really hope they make Frakes sit down again Riker style. We need to see this on screens in the 2020s.

Doesn't Frakes do that because he has a bad back? So it's a Frakes thing not a Riker affectation.

Yes, but it still became the Riker Manoeuvre

At today’s massive Star Trek Comic-Con panel, it was revealed....

There will be six new Short Treks ... and the final one will be a teaser for Star Trek: Picard that will give you some background 15 years before the new series.

[b]The episodes will debut this fall.

At today’s massive Star Trek Comic-Con panel, it was revealed that Pike (Anson Mount), Spock (Ethan Peck) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) will be appearing in Star Trek: Short Treks, the online spinoff shorts from the new Alex Kurtzman produced series. We will also see the return of our furry friends known as Tribbles.

There will be six new Short Treks with two of them being animated, three featuring the Enterprise crew and the final one will be a teaser for Star Trek: Picard that will give you some background 15 years before the new series.

A teaser of the new Short Trek episodes was shown and featured a look at the six episodes with Spock and Number One stuck in an elevator together, Pike in a bit of a bind and a hearty helping of Tribbles — which aren’t as cute as we thought.

The episodes will debut this fall. The titles include “Ask Not,” “Q&A,” “The Trouble With Edward,” “The Girl Who Made The Stars,” “Ephaim And Dot,” and “Children Of Mars.”

I chose this thread as the majority of the shorts will be Picard related.

Your post says that one of the 6 will be Picard related. That's a majority now?

I thought when it says 3 enterprise episodes it meant Riker & co but seems like it's not.

No, it's referring to the Enterprise in Discovery.

Wow that trailer almost got me as hyped as the Top Gun one! Still a little concerned, they have the potential to really screw this up, but it looks like they aren't going to ignore TNG Canon which is always a good thing.

Only thing I want now is the Enterprise to be in it at some point. Hopefully that will be where Riker fits in.

Given how long it's set after Nemesis the Enterprise-E might not even be around anymore and they might be on the Enterprise-F or even G.

Its only 20 years. The Enterprise E should still be in service as an older but likely refitted ship. Unless it got destroyed.

The UK's new aircraft carriers are expected to be in service for 50 years so a few decades for a ship like Enterprise really isn't all that surprising.

The Enterprise is basically front line so I could see it having gotten destroyed.
