Welcome to the PC gaming community thread!

What is this?
This is the official thread for the PC gaming subcommunity here on GRcade.

What do you post here?
PC gaming related chat, as well as community banter (read: anime theme song mashups).

Which games are discussed here?
Anything on PC. But if you want more than a fleeting discussion about a particular game, make a new thread. We promise we'll post there.

I am le trole ruse-master, console supremacy!1!
No. Go away.
[For future reference, the following people have been permanently banned from this and future PCGTs for trolling: HSH28]

I want to hang out with you!

You sure do. You should connect to our Mumble server:

Label: GRcade
Address: grcade.co.uk
Port: 64738
Username: Your GRcade username (but letters, numbers and underscores only please!)
No password required!

Mumble's busy. At the moment we're really just waiting for the next big online game to tickle us. If you, or anyone else, wants to organise some games - get on Mumble. We've got a dedicated community of at least a dozen people who are willing to play whatever, provided you ask.

Mumble's a cool place. If there's anyone who lurks the PC threads, they should come on Mumble and have a chat. We're not hostile to new people: listen in for a while so you get the gist of what we do. We'll welcome you with open arms.

You should also join our Steam group so that you can add us as friends on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/grcade-dot-com#members

What can I do once I'm integrated into this fantastic community?

If sitting in Mumble talking about anime isn't enough, you might convince us to play videogames with you.

We like lots of games - we run servers for many and have regular games of many more. Amongst our favourites are ARMA 3, Counter-Strike Source, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (yes we play both!), Left 4 Dead 2, 100% Orange Juice!, Killing Floor, Sid Meier's Civilization V and SWAT 4. We also run a vanilla Minecraft server. On the more competitive front, we all enjoy Ultra Street Fighter IV and some of us play Skullgirls. We're always up for trying new games, particularly if they have Linux dedicated servers available, so give us a shout if you have a game you're interested in.

All of our servers are run on GRcade's own hardware.

I am euphoric in the knowledge I use a superior gaming platform.

x

Just escaped Paul's apartment in Deus Ex but I'm not sure if he survived. It's very possible that he was blown up by the LAM I used to kill the men in black. :(

How did you escape the apartment?

I blew up the MIB in the hallway, then shot all the guards in the lobby and walked out the front door. I could've gone for stealth out of the window but I wanted to protect Paul and my stealth pistol is pretty powerful.

So, Matthew Brown has finally figured out how to randomly generate Hexcells puzzles, and so he's releasing it alongside another 36 extra-tough Hexcells puzzles on Monday.

But yeah, the series is very good, buy them all I say.

Well that's my life over. If anyone needs me I'll be emaciated in my chair, dead. A hexcell puzzle reflected in my glassy eyes, and a rictus grin on my face.

Does anyone elses Diablo 3/battle.net launcher prevent Steam from launching?

Nope, all works fine for me though I normally start steam first

Is the PCS mumble still busy? And if I pop on will anyone be up for:
USFIV
Skull Girls
CS:GO
Sonic All Star Racing

He should be fine then. I'm pretty sure the only trigger for him dying is if you escape out the window. If you go through the front door, die in the lobby, hide in the Pauls secret room while he kills everyone who comes in etc, he'll live.

I might have to get in on this Hexcells business. I love a good puzzle. It's probably been a year since I last played with you guys or came on Mumble. Think it was when Rising Storm had just been released. What are you playing at the most? I might pop on and see if anyone is up for CSGO next week.

Mumble's busy. We play some USF4, and I know Karl plays SG. CS:GO kinda petered out a bit, as did SASR, but we do still play some stuff if you're willing to ask around. Me and Kiezer try to organise games of Arma 3 from time to time. We're really just waiting for the next big online game to tickle us.

If you, or anyone else, wants to organise some games - get on mumble. We've got a dedicated community of 10-15 people who are willing to play whatever, provided you ask.

Mumble's a cool place. If there's anyone who lurks the PC threads, they should come on mumble and have a chat. We're not hostile to new people, just listen in for a while so you get the gist of what we do, and we'll welcome you with open arms. If you want to talk about Smash Brothers - please don't. I'll be triggered.

I should be able to play CS next week, though I prefer Source.

CS: Renaissance?

I thought standard protocol was to login to the main channel and then start talking loudly over everybody else about the latest Nintendo press conference?

I should come visit mumble more often, especially seeing as I'm spending hours grinding diablo now.
