That was the first thing I tried and it came back fine. Off to DDU then and re-install the official Driver :toot:

So how do I stop Windows installing that Driver? Just clean installed the official Driver and Windows has now automatically installed the newer one :x

Pre-download the drivers through geforce, disable your internet connection, scrub all the old drivers, restart, install the new ones, restart, re-enable internet. It might stop windows getting enthusiastic for a bit.

Why is Windows even installing a later driver? My installs are all done by the Nvidea software. Anyway, just tested it and it runs fine on my PC. I've not checked the frame rate but I suspect it is hitting 60fps at 1080p. I'll check this when I start it for real (but it will probably be a few months away :fp: ).

The only annoying thing is that the controller (PS4) doesn't seem to work natively through Steam. I had to run input mapper.

Yes?

Steam has a built-in fps counter for such things.

I think it has something to do with the preview build I'm on with W10. Latest Nvidia Driver is 382.33 were as my installed Driver is 382.36.

Yeah if you use the preview build you need to use the newer drivers build for that preview build, W10 feature releases are like 8 or 8.1 it isn't as simple as a few patches here and there and so needs a proper driver for it or issues can happen.

Odds are if you have issues it is due to being on preview. So either re-install windows and dont use the preview, or report it to the game maker and hope they can do something.

Already opted out of the preview build last week so just waiting to update to the next stable build rather than re-install a stable older build. Most likely won't have long to wait till Nvidia's next Driver update which hopefully sorts it out.

So far it has been very samey and feels like something that wouldn't be out of place 10 years ago. Steam feels like it is home to bedroom coders from a bygone era.

Got Brigador in the Humble Monthly and it's bloody great. The graphics are amazing, it perfectly captures the vibe of those sort of games from 90s. "Bedroom coders from a bygone era" is something I'd take as a compliment if I were a maker of these sorts of games.

Quick question, downloading a new Nvidia Driver (382.53) so when that's installed Windows won't try and install that older Beta Driver will it?

Edit* Checked for updates via Windows Update and it didn't try and install anything but Dead Rising 4 still refuses to launch. Deaths do you use MSi Afterburner or anything? Going to download the game again and hope for the best.

Same gooseberry fool with it not working, I guess it might have something to do with Windows Preview. Ah well.

I updated my driver the other day and it still worked. Certainly sounds like it isn't a driver issue.

Was a Preview Build problem. Updated to the latest Preview Build (16215) and it works fine. Though when quitting the game it doesn't shut it down and you can still hear the menu music playing. Have to use task manager to end it completely.

Already found a bug in the game! One of the first survivors you see in Willamet mall standing on a column surrounded by zombies shouting for help, can't help her. Theres a zombie stuck inside the damn column she's standing on that can't be killed. Nice one :slol:

Did you own the PC version of GTA V and really liked messing with more?

Well strawberry float you because Take Two have issued a Cease & Desist against OpenIV which was the only publicly available modding tool for the game and declared modding of GTA V to be illegal.

Probably because it's used to data mine all the new content before it comes out and they are salty.

As Jim Sterling pointed out, Rockstar have actually promoted mods using OpenIV on their own blog. Now all of a sudden they're the worst thing in the world.

I imagine the gta mod community is much smaller than the hordes of people who spend real money in gta online. Profit > community goodwill.
