Don't just look at the RAM, compare the performance difference between your card and the new one

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compa ... 5B%5D=3566

According to the performance test, your card is better than the 1050ti anyway

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/compa ... 5B%5D=3595

*edit* although that is the 4GB model.

How much for one of them? I've been dawdling on building a desktop PC for the smart end of a year now, but I would be interested in getting started gathering components sooner rather than later (although not before I get paid on Friday).

I would need to see what they are going for but I was thinking in the region of £160 inc postage or £300 a pair. Its the FTW SC one, whichever was the fastest available.

Anyone played Dawn of War 3 yet? The Steam reviews seem to be making out that it's a bit bobbins

Ooh, now you've got me looking as I also wouldn't mind upgrading my 770. I'd been looking at the 1060 6GB but £270 is just a bit too much to buy on a whim. But yeah, using that comparison website makes the 770 look better than the 1050ti.

I can't stop looking at the MSI GTX 1060 6GB now. I'm so very tempted but at £270 can I really justify it? I should save money :(

Can't fault the GTX 1060 6GB GPU. Though the only game I seem to play these days is Gears 4 online I can play it locked to 60fps on Ultra (Unlocked framerate goes between 90-100fps)

Obviously for me it was a very big jump going from a GTX 670m in a laptop to the 1060.

I looked round the internet for comparisons between the 770 and 1050ti and it seems older games run better on the 770, but newer games run better on the 1050ti so if you are looking to play newer games, the 1050ti is probably worthwhile, but whether it is worth paying £140 is another question.

I'm hoping that Vega turns out to be decent as I think I'm probably going to end up going with AMD when I upgrade my pc. My monitor needs upgrading as well and Freesync monitors are far more common and way, way cheaper than G-Sync. A 1080p G Sync monitor costs as much as a 4K Freesync display and Freesync seems to be getting offered as standard on more and more displays.

I broke my rule of not buying early access games, and picked up Playerunknown's Battlegrounds.

I have never played any of the Battleroyal mods in Arma, or H1Z1 so this is all completely new to me, but by god it is good. I am totally hopeless luckily my friends are as well so noone is the weak link, but it just seems to setup so many memorable moments each game.

Still quite a lot of bugs in the game, and the optimisation is terrible, so it really is early access, but the concept is fantastic and well executed, running with the circle (play area) closing in on you, and all the tense gun fights with other players, it is all brilliant.

That said it does seem to stress me out a lot, but in a good way
