I got The Witcher 3 GOTY, even though I'm only just playing through the original. Probably should've waited.

Finally getting around to playing MGS V: The Phantom Pain on PC, which meant I had to replay Ground Zeros as well so I could get Kojima on my team. Even though there is just the one map in GZ it's pretty damn fun.

Some good deals on CD Keys. Picked up the Evil Within 2 for £14 odd and Cuphead for £9 odd.

RPS have done a list of the best ever 'Best Ever' PC games. It's pretty damn comprehensive and there's a fair few games from the early 90s I'd completely forgotten about. It runs out of steam (lol) towards the end but is well worth a gander:

It also gives me an opportunity to flex my Edgelord muscles and say again that What Remains of Edith Finch is massively, massively overrated.

Fin.

It's in chronological order.

Let’s celebrate PC games in all their breadth and glory.

No racing games

Having seen several video previews by mainstream journos I am kind of glad they don't bother, but I guess because they aren't pixel art 2d platformers with MUH NOSTALGIA they can't pontificate or tug each other off about them.

Burnout Paradise?

I wish Stories Untold got a mention but pretty good list altogether.

Oh god Devil Daggers is on that list. I genuinely have no strawberry floating clue what anyone sees in that muddy pile of nostalgia tinted shite. I thought maybe I just wasn't good enough at it, but the RPS piece notes that a 60 second session is good.

It's not a bad list, but there considering it's supposed to be a best of the best ever they snuck some rather niche titles in.

Oh, and no System Shock.

It generally turns into the same thing over and over. I mean, it's an alright game, I don't get the love for it either.

So what's the current consensus on parts prices right now? Are graphics cards still massively overpriced? I've not seen anything in the way of black Friday deals that's looked that impressive, and I was hoping to pick up a few parts for an upgrade at the new year.

I enjoyed the world building, but the combat didn't excite me. Still want to give it another go.

Just jumped on Bad Company 2 for the first time in years, still fantastic and DICE haven't managed to top it since. It's £3.74 in the sale at the moment (£6 with the Vietnam DLC) and seems populated enough to get some decent games on the go.
