Cheers - the seller looks legit, loads of products on sale and great feedback. It doesn't feel like a scam. I'm pretty savvy I think...bought on credit card though, 'cos I'd feel like a dickhead if it all went south.
I hope it all works out as that looks like a great deal and I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with a graphics card that costs more than a next gen console. It should make games look pretty darn swanky.

Heyyy Peter, long time no type-y! Hope you're good and stuff. Yeah, I was pretty pleased...should be somewhat quicker than my 5600xt, although that's no slouch really.
As of now, the order is still active in my Orders list..

I'm doing great, thanks .
I'll be interested to see how far above PS5 and XSX settings you can get. Do you have the PC version of game pass as that could be pretty handy for benchmarking against games on both platforms without needing to spend a fortune on games?
The big thing, and I was chuckling to myself the other day, is people waiting for ‘60 FPS upgrades’ for older games on new consoles. Never has and never will be a problem with PC. Those options in menus now for ‘performance’, ‘RT’ or ‘fidelity’ are in effect a cut set of graphics presets on PC.
I'm hearing that the next 18 months may be a good time to be in the market for a new PC. There are reports that Nvidia have way over ordered parts for 40 series cards and there may be a huge over supply so you may get some serious bargains on top quality graphics cards.
I hope this turns out to be the case as I'd kind of like to be able to get back into PC gaming if the price is reasonable again.

Hopefully this does even things out a bit, whether crypto is brilliant or gooseberry fool at the time probably means a lot too.
It's a bit ships in the night with PC building, the second prices start to normalise the cost of living goes through the roof. I was well up for building a new PC last year (or even just grabbing a 3060 or something), but now I don't really think it's a prudent use of funds with energy bills etc going up.

It could be like a modern version of the Neo Geo and be for rich kids only.
If it can supply the 400+ W that the card is rumoured to need. Id need a few solar panels first just to turn on my system. I should see how much I can get for 1 Kidney, lobe of my lung and part of my liver. May as well throw a litre of blood as well.
Given production times Nvidia probably had to place part/fabricator orders before the bottom fell out of the crypto market. By the time that happened it would have been way too late for Nvidia to back out.
Serves them right for trying to take advantage of Crypto bullshit

Exactly this. So the orders are in for the chips and they can’t back out. But, Nvidia being Nvidia are now trying to shift 3000 series and build a backlog of 4000. They don’t have to release them. They could just let demand ramp up again and then drip feed them out. Remember, these are the guys who had a chip and tried to sell it in 3 different products to maximise cash, and deliberately slowed production of the best value 3080 while pulling out 3080 12Gb, 3080Ti and then a £1999 3090Ti.
Nvidia are working out how to maximise their profits while they have Advantage over AMD. We need more AMD and Intel to really bring the prices down.
Just seen the latest Nvidia drivers include the update for RTX support in the Spider Man game, and I'm so tempted, but it's so expensive. Even on CDKeys it's £38.

Wow, it's only £38 on cdkeys! Thanks for the heads up.
I’m excited for this. Great game on the PS5 and I’m excited to see if proper ray tracing gets done at some point, DLSS and higher fPs. One of the rare games I’m likely to double dip on. Brilliant. Buy this instead of Gotham knights!!
Meh. I mean PCs are hard to damage now and with YouTube for full build guides, us here, and uk Pc partpicker it’s pretty easy. It’s like lego and nothing should be forced.
The old pc game still applies, wait, or take the plunge. But I think now is a good time, especially if you are in the mid to high end bracket. As any build now is going to play the games to date really well, and future stuff fine too. Prices are coming down too. And the only 4000 card we’ll see this year is the pointless 4090.
Get stuck in, ask in here, 12th gen 12400/12700 cpu or possibly 5800x3d depending on price and 3080 is an excellent build that will last a long long time.

Heck, I’ve just won from a raffle site another 3090 in a pc build (12900k!). So I’ve got a 3090 Founders edition that I’d happily provide to anyone thinking of doing a build for an excellent price.
