No real benchmarks for VR but this was nice to read.
I can say this: with the RTX 3080, you can run Elite Dangerous at its "high" preset in VR, flip to 120Hz mode in Valve Index, and expect a nearly locked framerate. The same goes for Fallout 4 VR, a brutally unoptimized VR conversion of Bethesda's RPG, which I can finally run at a locked 90fps (or hover in variable 100-110fps territory on Valve Index). Three years after that VR port's launch, I actually want to play it that way.

I did find the GN Wattage info on the oc 3800 FE with amazement as it pulled almost 370W in some benchmarks.
Yeah, I think if you're overclocking a 750 is deffo the way to go. I'm absolutely not, so hopefully I'll be fine.

It will be, I have just has some bad experiences due to power supplies taking out components which is why I am overly cautious.

This is interesting:
Guy is running a 3080 undervaulted and seeing almost no FPS drops.
Highest peak draw from standard is around 550

I think I'm going to stick with my 1080ti for another year or so. My CPU and RAM are pushing 7 years old now so more important to upgrade them.

I was out of the PC gaming scene so long I think my 2060 is fantastic, so I can't imagine how cool a 3080 must be - but maybe ignorance is bliss, it's a lot cheaper this way...

Overclockers have stated that cards are in very short supply, also there are issue with the exchange rate due to Brexit so expect a price increase up to £40 on the AIB cards.

The numbers incoming are limited, as such the majority will probably be waiting until October to receive a card, as demand at launch will seriously out strip supply this month.
Unfortunately hitting MSRP has proven tough, the MSRP's were set when the pound was 1.33-1.34 this can easily be confirmed by checking charts, and stock has been arriving at OcUK purchased at rates of 1.27-1.29 as such MSRP's are a real struggle. Brands are working with us to allow us to hit MSRP, but unless the pound recovers back to 1.33-1.34 levels then the prices will go up by approximately £30-£40 a card, so do be warned, pre-ordering will save you money but the window of opportunity to do so shall be slim, potentially minutes at 14:00

Going to just try for a Founders Edition direct since it seems the likely best deal. Not actually holding out much hope.
