I'm not a big fan of his Twitch stuff, but that's more to do with my general bewilderment about game streaming in the first place. His sketch show is great, as were his Vines, although it definitely needs a very niche sense of humour to get.

Twitch Limmy, though still fun, is probably the worst incarnation. His "real" content is genius level stuff at times.

Today's free games on Epic Store are Darkstalkers Warmastered Edition, Darkstalkers 2 Deathinitive Edition and Steep which are up till the 9th.

65 games in my library on there and 5 of them (Well 4, as one came with Ass Creed Odyssey Gold) are the only ones I've actually purchased (Control, Telltales The Walking Dead Definitive Collection, Assassin's Creed Odyssey Gold Edition, Assassin's Creed 3/Liberation Remastered and The Division 2 Gold Edition) :slol:

Odd request- I'm looking for games with a similar gameplay loop to Thief Simulator. Ie you do jobs to get money to buy more equipment to do more high value jobs to buy better equipment. I've got the Steamworld Dig games.

Would a Computer Hacker version do?

If so then you can get Uplink for £1.39 on Steam at the moment

I really need to give Uplink a proper play one day. It's one of those games that I started and instantly saw the appeal but never played enough to get past the learning curve.

Uplink was fantastic for a brief period of time but mechanically it ran out of legs far too quickly. Shame that nobody, as far as I'm aware at least, has built anything similar since.

Slowly piecing together the parts for an updated PC build, aiming to get it done in time for Cyberpunk in April.

Currently debating which CPU to go for. After being an Intel stalwart for the last 15 years I'm leaning toward going AMD for the first time since my Athlon XP 2800+ build from 2003! I was happy enough with my last CPU, an i5 4690k but felt that it became a limiting factor quicker than I wanted so might push for something a bit higher end this time.

It's a toss up between the R7 3700x and R9 3900x at this point. Both look like they do the business but not sure if the 3900x is worth the extra cash. Whilst I may dabble in some video editing, virtualisation and emulation which could benefit from the extra power it seems like gaming wise it may be a bit of an overkill?

Wolfenstein Youngblood is £6.89 off Instant Gaming (no problems ordering from them in the past) so even knowing it’s gooseberry fool I’ll have it for that price seeing as they’ve added Ray Tracing now :shifty:

I watched the speed run, that was more than enough of that game for me.

Hmm, tough call. It's difficult to say with CPUs as I feel the bar's going to be raised a fair bit with the next gen consoles getting substantially improved CPUs, it wouldn't surprise me if multiplats from them become challenging to run at higher frame rates.

My feeling is going a bit higher to future proof is nice if possible, though with this kind of hardware it can get so reverse exponential with the price increase+performance value

Yeah it is a hard call, there is definitely a point of diminishing returns!

As you say given the likely uplift in CPU performance from the new consoles I think I'm going to try and push for the best CPU option I can manage.

Trying to decide whether to upgrade my current PC (new motherboard, CPU and GPU) or just go for an entirely new build.

So I've had my laptop for nearly 4 years, time for an upgrade.

Can anybody recommend something around the £500-£600 range that will run most games comfortably? I don't play AAA stuff but it would be nice if it could run pretty much any indie game I can throw at it, or something like Rocket League or Tomb Raider 2013.
